Didn’t hurt me one bit. Apparently sport forums is where ya’ll get off. Dood I work long hours, make killer money to worry about you guys on here.
I’m 12 years away from retirement with two pensions and a 6 figure severance. Oh and guess what Boeing did fly us up to huskie stadium that year it opened. We golfed across the bay there you know the one. Then we went back to the stadium. Where I took a piss on the sideline. So ya I’m good. That made my day.
ya arent special. lots of us do this. I work 40 hours a week and then take call for another 100 hours a week on average. turn 6 figures with a solid 401k and Roth IRA and im still a few years from 40.

For real though, each game is listed 4 times in the pickem this week. God forbid someone fucks one up.

Member when you just picked the games against the spread and gave a score prediction as a tie breaker? I member. There was a weekly champion avy and life was simple.

Jake Browning is a Liberal.:heh:

Yeah, damn liberal can invent some kind of secret force field that picks up blitzes his line can’t pick up and the coaches can’t figure out how to exploit. He should be deported.

@TheDayMan I member. There are only 4 games this week in the PAC. We do the teasers so that a 4 game week does not give an unfair advantage to someone who does really well in the first few weeks where there are 12 games each week.

There’s no reason they can’t.

Thanks, this sums it up for me, I didn't realize I was hedging and that wasn't my intent, I was just following the betting trends. Ill correct it in the future. To be fair the Book can dock me a point for week one
I actually don't have a problem with it. I see it as a strategy that can be useful if the week looks like a shit show to you and you have no clue. So I understand, if you want to keep pace in the Season standings, hedging just makes a stragic play.

The only problem, it does go against the spirit and history of the rule, and the intent of assigning 2 points to the Game of the Week. I've personally have never hedged on the Game of the Week myself for that very reason. I'm guessing Wiz never has because it's a pussy move.

Well that is, provided you were aware of the rule, I'm sure.

No need to dock anyone of any points, it's just nice if we all play with the same deck of cards is all. Moving forward I suspect you will.

As Buddha has already pointed out, please no one confuse the Game of the Week or any ATS game with 'Teasers'.

Those teasers are specific Game total stats like Sacks, Total Yards, Turnovers etc... and are there to keep the number of contest per week the same throughout the season.

Yeah, the teasers were also always an added feature when we did it by hand. dayman and his butthurtary may not have remembered that. It was sort of Mamba and I that managed it, morphed into mostly me, then was all me, before vita and budda rescued it and made it WAY easier to manage and made it legit with prizes en sech.

They can do away with the double points if they like, or allow 'hedging'. I mean today's football doesn't look like yesterdays as it is so why not change contests over time.

We added those 'features' because it's hard to run a contest for just a conference with all the weird weeks that don't have at least 6 games, while some go well past that in the sillly season.

It's all for fun people.

I was only half busting the balls of the wayward ute fan until he went bat shit crazy and had the best epic meltdown we've seen on the Pac12 thread in at least a year. So it was well worth it. :thumb:

I think one of the first years we did it Mamba went crazy one week with the prop bets (teasers if you like that term more) and had like 15 of them? :noidea: He was a bit.... over the top at times.

turning? its been what barely 2 seasons since it wasnt?
You do get AG has a massive agenda here right? He's going to list any and every article that says anything bad about Browning because he has a raging boner for their backup, Haener. I mean he posted pics of his mom ffs. Like SUPER creepy shit.

People who never played ball or coached it are entitled to their wrong sense of how to evaluate players. We are also entitled to ignore it and laugh at them.

I have a morning routine every day where I hit certain sites looking for UW articles to post in the Huskies groups ... that was the first UW piece I came across this morning and my eyes lit up as soon as I read the title. The posters in the UW groups went apeshit as soon as I posted that link seeing how the Washington fanbase is split on Browning.
