One of the major issues with early polls is we doht actially lnow what is a good win or a bad loss and by the time we figure out we were wrong everyone has forgotten about the game.

I dont have Iowa any higher than a lot of the posters here and yes iowa bas 2 wins better than anyone VT has beaten . You'll see this week when NIU goes to Tallahassee and does the same thing you guys did

I get it was a big upset, I do. They were also a top 5 team and toppled 10+ spots in both polls. I think that's fair. We'll see what BYU does. Fact is, they've been a solid program for years now. It's not like Wisconsin was upset by Tulane or something. Wisconsin has one of the top RBs, top OLs, and a really good defense. They're a top 25 team, despite one bad game.

Clemson is better than ND, but I'm not sure by much with their offensive problems. They were extremely lucky to have been playing a horrible mid-major this last Saturday and not a team with a decent offense or they would've had a hole to dig themselves out of. Georgia Southern had one of the worst defenses in the entire FBS last year and Clemson struggled mightily until nearly halfway through the 2nd quarter to score.

I get that byu has been a consistently good program. But they weren't last year and looked extremely mediocre against cal and Arizona. I'm not sure how good the Wisconsin defense is when you give up almost 7 yards a carry and 24 points to this byu team. And sure they were supposed to have a good O-line this year, but that didn't stop the coaching staff from putting in the backups.

Clemson is way better than ND. If we scored 10 points against Clemson I'd be surprised. I think Va Tech is going to roll us in a couple weeks.

Debating Wisconsin/Washington is a waste of time. The reality is that the only schools who get a free pass on a bad loss are A. Blue bloods or B Teams who have won it all recently

It's how Clemson can lose to Pitt and make the playoff or Oklahoma can lose at home to Iowa St and make the playoff or Ohio St can lose at home to VT and make the playoff etc etc. Neither Wisconsin nor Washington are those types of teams. Neither is 90% of CFB. Right or wrong it's just the way it is

Saying they deserve to be ranked =/= hyping them. Also, while you might not be impressed with Wisconsin, just know Washington doesn't even remotely compare to them for pretty much the last 25+ years.

I'll give them credit for at least being 2-1 against 3 P5 opponents thusfar. To be fair, that's better than the majority of what the top 25 has done to this point.

Having a quarter of those yards on 1 carry had something to do with that. Again, acting like everything you know about Wisconsin for the past decade is completely null because of one bad game is foolish, and you know that.

I will be shocked if ND is rolled by VT. In fact, I see the opposite as more likely.

For the past decade, VT has been significantly more overrated than Iowa. That is a fact.
