Sorry for the thread steal @ATL96Steeler ... Maybe a change could provide us some mojo! :tinfoil3:

Vegas has the Steelers opening up this game as -2.5pt favorites on the road. That's awful generous. lol

Offense... I'd like to see this team get back to balanced football. But obviously that will depend on how badly the defense is getting gashed. If the O is playing from behind then we'll likely see Ben throw it 50+ times again. If its remotely close then I hope they focus on getting Conner going. Control the tempo and keep the TB offense off the field. Doing that will hopefully take the pressure off of "Road Ben" who seems to shit his pants a lot. JPP & McCoy form the catalyst of a very formidable defensive front. O-line will need to play their asses off.

Defense... I don't think much needs to be said here. Everyone's gotta play better, top to bottom. Win your battles and do your job. Bucs are red hot and could easily dominate this game if the defense doesn't show up. Time to put up or shut up.

Injuries... DeCastro, Haden & Alualu are the concerns. Reportedly things are looking "close" for Haden. DeCastro said he could play if they really needed him to, but with Finney in the fold its doing the team a disservice by pushing himself into the game. I think they keep him out another week. Nothing new on Alualu. Still dealing with a shoulder injury. Good news that neither Roethlisberger or McDonald felt any adverse effects from their previous injuries after the game. They should be ready to play this week.

Outlook... Honestly not feeling good about this game. Road game in a hot climate. Ben plays like shit on the road and the big fellas in the trenches are going to have their conditioning tested during this game. Fitzpatrick should have another stellar outing forcing the Steelers to play from behind much of the game. Ben will probably start forcing bad throws and the snowball effect will ensue. Just too much drama & too many questions without any answers surrounding this team right now.

No sweat Face! Anytime you feel like it. I normally look it on Tues or Wed.

My thoughts on the matchup.

TB much like KC last week does not have a great OL or running game...the strengths of the OFC is via the air with Evans, Jackson and OJ Howard. Of course the Bucs saw the tape last week...I have to think Howard with get several targets in this game and the deep seam vs the zone has me very concerned. Kelce scored twice on deep seam patterns.

Butler can't afford to sit back and let the old man pick him apart...he has to get Fitz moving and has to get him on the ground a few times or they will lose this game.

On OFC...they're older but the Bucs have JPP and Vinny Curry coming off the edge, and I'm a big Gerald McCoy fan...Lavonte David is pro bowl caliber at LB...the OL has to play well, if they do, Ben should have a decent day vs their secondary.

Based off the performance last week, I'm not sure what to think score wise or even outcome wise. All I'm prepared to say at this point is if the Steelers come out flat and lose this game, the season is in real jeopardy.

Have you noticed a few of the Steelers conditioning is a bit soft........

Well since Harrison left.....
Think of what he did every year with these guys......

Week 1 I gave the defense the benefit of the doubt with how often the offense was forcing them back onto the field (turnovers). But week 2 they looked the same in the 4th qtr.

Understandable, but did they or did they not push themselves as hard in the preseason with the conditioning like they did when Debo was around???

I'm leaning towards, no.....so I think conditioning is a major factor.
This team, and the good vets pushed everyone to do better. As we all can see, that mentality no longer exists.
Seems now the only thing they do religiously is worry about what every Tom, dick, and Harry had to say on Twitter.

I gotta say, this game is not looking good for us.....

If that illiterate rapist Winston was playing, I'd give us a better chance.
But this Fitzmagic thing seems to be one of the NFL feel good stories, and it could very well present a problem.
Especially with Shazier and Haden not in the lineup, it seems their is no leadership on D. And they struggle immensely to begin with....no leadership....yea not good.

This is an obvious Steelers win. Reminds me of when they limped in to an 'un-winnable' situation in KC last year after getting their asses kicked by the Jags. What happened?

As much as I love Fittzy.... Digging the outfits and the positive vibe... There is a reason why he is a journeyman. That reason will become clear on Monday.

I predict Pittsburgh wins and the news cycle turns to DC or some other dysfunctional locale.

I sure hope so. But honestly they look so disbanded & unmotivated. And on top of that the coaches are failing miserably to gameplan effectively.

I know it’s easy to be all doom & gloom when things turn south, but honestly this year just feels different. Typically the guys rally around one another but we aren’t seeing that yet. Everyone is clearly frustrated but none of the supposed leaders are motivating the troops.

Just feels like one of those years where things are quickly slipping into the “too far gone” category. Ridiculous to say that after just 2 weeks, but that’s how it feels.

I marked this post winner and then took it away......

Only so I could mark it winner 3 more times!!!!!

Only thing I can think is someone finally told these guys to shut the fuck up. But I highly doubt that......
But you're right, there isn't much of anything being said in Pittsburgh. And someone is always spouting off at the mouth!!!

At the rate they've been going... There's just no chance. Unless it came from Art Rooney himself, I'm just not seeing it. Those words would be awful shallow coming from Tomlin or Colbert.

A healthy Haden would have a chance against D Jackson but the Steelers do not have an answer for OJ Howard. I'm just hoping they shock me and actually compete out there.

Yea, there isn't enough of a nut sack on Tomlin to make these guys shut up.

I think if Rooney steps in, Tomlin might wanna start packing....at least if I were owner and had to do Tomlin's job that's how I'd see it. But man, something has got to give. This team has had waves before but this is a full blown typhoon.
Tomlin should be proud, he's taken the most prestigious organisation in all of pro sports and made it into a complete 3 ring circus. With him as the fuckin clown.....hey that gives me an idea.....lol

Another reason to dispise Tomlin.......
We all have to say fuck face Bradshaw was right.
