-I thought Mahomes obviously looked excellent for a rookie but what was most impressive was his decision making. He was throwing it to a lot of fairly open players. His 11.65 YPA is NUTS and 154.8 QBR, 6 TDS, 82% completion. We might not see another performance like that in his whole career but thats a really promising start and its a good time to be a Chiefs fan.

-Even if Mahomes accuracy was a little off, the Chiefs skill players went the extra mile. Hunt powered into the endzone. Kelce made a couple of tougher grabs. Lots of toe tapping and lots of running for extra yards.

-The Chiefs defense actually looked pretty good at the start. The defensive line was actually giving Ben some issues and the Steelers didn't even try to run against the Chiefs front. A lot of the times the Chiefs got beat in the secondary, I felt it had more to do with the Steelers just having great offensive talent. I wanted to hate what the defense gave up but it was honestly about a C grade type of defensive game and the Steelers offense was just that good.

-This game was almost a blowout. If that fumble would've stood up or if the Chiefs never turn over the ball then this might not have been close. The Steelers also had a couple of clutch plays to get back into the game.

-Neither team had a red zone stop. All bend and all break.

-Chiefs were able to 'run to win the game' and I always like seeing that. The Chiefs didn't need to run the ball much but when they needed to win the game, they did.

Steelers feel like they're winning at least 8 games but I think they're in trouble. Chiefs are doing well but we haven't really seen adversity yet outside of the Berry injury. I think this team could be anything but the sky is the limit with this team's future.

Way late to this thread, but not much has particularly changed outside of the Chiefs getting more pressure on the 49ers (who has, imo a much worse OL [and QB] than even a beat up Steeler OL) and Dee Ford already getting hurt. The Corners are overperforming outside of Fuller, but it doesn't seem to matter if the ILB's and Safeties are albatrosses; and the passrush is very hit and miss thus far.
