well a 2nd rd pick was offered & he wasnt traded so apparently the Cowboys thought he was & the Hawks thought he was worth more. The guy makes a shitload of money and thinks he deserves more. Now he must face the reality that he isn't even worth a 2nd round draft pick.
Thanks for that. I posted with a misguided thought. I should have said that the most a team thought he was worth was a 2nd rounder. Seattle's opinion is only 1 of 32 teams. Most teams would upgrade with him, but are not offering anything more than a 2nd rounder.well a 2nd rd pick was offered & he wasnt traded so apparently the Cowboys thought he was & the Hawks thought he was worth more.
They still think they can make it to the superbowl.
I dont think they make the playoffs, but them keeping him makes me think they think they can.Not a chance in hell.
They will be window shopping like the Bungles....
its not so much that, but the way teams hold onto draft picks now. Outside of QBs it is very rare to see any players go for a 1st round pick. Outside of a select few players, those days of giving up 1st's are over.Lol at people that think Thomas isn't worth a 1st or even a 2nd.
He is a HOF safety with incredible range. Without him the LOB wasn't even a feasible concept.
I know that he is "old" (29 isn't old for a safety) and some injury concerns which is concerning because he game is predicated on speed. But his instincts are about the best I have ever seen.
We will see what happens but I think he is being severely under-rated in all of these trade discussions.
more than a second? How about this?
Oh I totally agree. But at some point the cost becomes greater than the benefit. Dallas can still revisit earl (if not signed) or whomever else is available next year without giving up a 2nd round pick as well...Understand, but keep in mind, Earl would be like a road runner in your backfield, Cowboy's would be instantly upgraded with Earl ... He's got another good 3-4 years of football left... I hope Seattle just locks him up at some point...
