From here on out we can expect a Yo-Yo up and down performance from this team. Hot and cold streaks- happy and mad times are coming- like it or not. Like my Dad used to say- "shit or get off the pot" is what I am saying to Mr. Dipoto :2cents:

Wade is having a great game. It's nice to see Servais let him keep pitching and not going to the pen so early. Wish our offense was a bit more exciting. The M's just have problems moving runners once they get on. Lots of opportunities but hey, they're ahead 2-1 against a very sub par team. M's are gonna be doomed against the good teams though imo

Have no idea why Scotty pulled Wade. He was stellar tonight and his pitch count wasn't that bad. Can't figure that guy out. Since we're stuck with him I wish he'd get his shit together in dealing with the pitching staff. :gaah:

A's Watch:

Buster Olney of ESPN reports that Mets closer Jeurys Familia will be traded to the Athletics if the two sides can finish the deal.

Olney earlier reported that the Mets had agreed to the structure of a deal involving Familia and an unknown team. If the structure of the deal is in place, it likely means that money is the final hurdle, and the Mets have reportedly said they're willing to include cash with Familia to get a better return. With a 2.88 ERA and 43 strikeouts over 40 2/3 innings, the 29-year-old right-hander would give Oakland an excellent bridge to Blake Treinen and give the Athletics one of the better bullpens in the American League.

Yep! M's win with an A's loss... Great way to begin the 2nd half of the season...

I thought Oakland already had one of the better pens? I thought their main need is at starter?

New baseball where you use 10 stud relievers starting in the 5th inning. It is just so weird to see especially for me growing up watching rotations having all 5 guys go 200 innings each. I give them for adding talent for the first time in a few years.

Oakland is in it to win it. They're making a run for it and seem to be serious. Can't wait to see what Dipstick does for our club. What blows me away is that Jerry was a pitcher and I can't understand why he doesn't send Servais to a "how to use a pitching staff" school. :noidea:

I'm so damn happy to see Vogelbach starting at 1st tonight - NOT :L He's been tearing the leather off the ball down in T town but not expecting that in Seattle. Would hope to be wrong but history has a way of repeating itself….or so I've been told anyway. :D

Well, this team is sucking tonight. Stupid base running error, can't knock the runner around when they finally get runners on base. Sheesh...is this what we get to look forward to for the 2nd half? Glad to see money bags Seager is earning his money with his strike outs again. :L
