I'd say Bart is can't miss, but that aside I think they can rebuild while remaining not awful.
It's going to take good stewardship tho.
I think they had higher rated farms; not sure about the sell off piece, except the HORRIFIC solid the dogs did for the BoSox
Sure, if you KNOW you're headed toward 4 years of 75-80 and you KNOW that you're headed to 90+ lose seasons after that.
But you don't know that....

I swear, I get you're pissed, but damn....
From the Athletic today; big article about the Giants blowing it up:
1. Re: Bum
If the Giants can get an exciting return for him this offseason...
It all depends upon price of course, but I can't see him being a huge improvement over what we already have.
I don't see a FA out there besides Harper (likely a Turdinal) or Machado (likely a doyer) that would help much. So, IMO, it's gotta be a trade. I...
really just depends upon two things
1. who they get back; and
2. who they spend on in FA.
I could see them trading Belt/Panik/Strick or something like that.
I don't think they'll run the same team back. I also don't think they'll trade Bum. We shall see.
And I did also say this.
Yeah, I still kinda stand by that as opposed to blowing it up. That team, if healthy, will be ok.
I don't remember ever laying out a detailed plan for them running it back and contending in 2019, but if I did, I'd like to read it.
