Well, He is a free safety. That's about the only good thing to say. The reports on him are not great. Poor tackler. Avoids contact. Not aggressive.

It appears to be a significant reach.

He was a 5 star recruit and he could have benefited greatly by staying a extra year or 2 in college. MSU has gone to shit lately and the current players are jumping ship as fast as they can. If coached right and not forced into a starting role this year I can see this pick helping us. He is not ready now to play in the NFL but i do feel he has the talent. Most guys on MSU when they had nothing to play for just gave up and you see it in the tape. I would have liked this pick a lot more if we got him in the 5th rounder but over time we will see if we landed a starter or just a special team player.

Another SS on this team. Kiper just said he is an in the box safety and can hit. We needed a FS. Or a QB there.

at times he will knock you out but most times he hits scared big reach in the 4th round

Hits scared because he knew he was leaving for NFL and didn't want to get hurt. Not saying it was a great pick but surely don't think it was horrible either. Let's see what he can do.

So you would rather a QB or a FS that the team feels may not have any potential?

CBS gave him a 7th round draft grade and has him as a SS. How do you not take Peterman here? He is insurance if KC leaves next year. Another SS does not make sense for this team. The only ball hawking FS we have is Hall. that is scary.

The Redskins select safety Montae Nicholson with the 123rd pick, their second choice in the fourth round. Nicholson is a big safety at 6-foot-2, 212 pounds and is best positioned inside the box. The Redskins needed more depth at safety, even with young players such as Su'a Cravens and D.J. Swearinger projected to start.
