What is more boring than watching the NFL draft?

Where did you get that?

It didn't beat the NBA or baseball championships, but in recent years it actually beat the NBA and NHL playoffs before, which is amazing.

Last year, Day 1 coverage more than tripled ESPN2’s NBA playoff doubleheader of Nets/Heat (2.0) and Blazers/Spurs (2.2) — to say nothing of NBCSN’s Bruins/Canadiens (0.8) and Ducks/Kings (0.4) NHL games.

NFL Draft a ratings success story, if not a juggernaut

I tune in maybe once every 45 minutes to see the 3 picks I've missed. If they had rounds 1-3 on the same day and a 3-5 min clock, I would think about having a get together.

No matter what anyone else has posted, I can beat it.

One 4 am at work, I got the radio set on the sports channel.

And the national call-in show is cut short as the local radio station broadcasts a fishing show.

A FISHING show!

On the RADIO!

Yup.

Nothing, not even the NFL Draft, can be more boring than that!

I have to unequivocally concur.

I like to eat fish.

But if you couldn't drink or smoke up while fishing...... Let alone watch guys fish......

Let alone listen to guys talk about it.....

It amuses me that dumbass football junkies will stay glued to the TV during the 15 minutes in between picks while they suffer through endless commercials and listen to the talking heads spout about crap they read off of a teleprompter.

What is more boring than watching the NFL draft?

Watching Malia unsuccessfully try to twerk while she smokes rag weed at a music festival?

Reading the reactions to the latest regrettable Trump Twitter post?

Watching infomercials hosted by some coked-up English guy trying to sell cleaning products?
Your threads. That's what.

I haven't been particularly interested in the NFL draft in like 13 years or so. The only one I've actually sat down and watched the entire first round for since then was 2014, since I happened to have literally nothing better to do than sit around wasting the day on it. It definitely isn't for me, aside from having basically nothing else going on. It was on while I was lifting at the gym today, and I barely glanced at the screen a couple times.

That said, there's all kinds of similar things that tons of people enjoy thoroughly that I'd consider incredibly boring, and more boring than the NFL draft. Regular season NBA games (and most of the playoffs), the NHL in general, the MLB unless my local team is in the playoffs, etc. Even far more mind-numbingly boring to me are things like Nascar, tennis, golf, most matches in fighting sports like boxing, UFC, etc. Some of it involves my belief that many of these products have become watered down and genuinely less interesting over the years for various reasons, and some of it might just be caring way less about sports than I did as a teenager. Though to be fair, I've haven't cared about the NBA since Jordan left the Bulls for good, have never cared any more about the MLB than I currently do, and have never understood how some people get so rabid about the NHL.

Every single year of NHL hockey, I get 1,000x more entertainment out of watching people freak out over the Minnesota Wild over facebook and then have them choke every.single.time. in the great "hockey state!!!111!!!!" than I've ever gotten out of actually watching the team play. There's just so many things I'd rather be spending the majority of my time on than watching the vast majority of televised sporting events.

Read it a few years agos. Shows you football is KING. Not sure if it held up last year.
Well the World Series game with the lowest viewership in the last 30 years was 9.8 million viewers (2008 Game 3, Phillies vs Rays). When has the draft peaked over that?

When there's nothing else on. But then I fell asleep before the end of the 1st round anyways.

Even when the Patriots actually had picks I would do something else and then just find out later.

Don't think it has 2016 first round had 8.3 million viewers not counting people who watch it online. Pretty good for a Thursday though

The best part is 80,000 people gathering in Philly to watch one pick that they will hate

I looked at the internet this morning and found out who the Panthers drafted in five seconds, went "meh," went back to masturbating.

Hi handsome

Rock is back?

Did the Patriots win something?

I think one of their former players was found innocent or something. Cause for celebration from Pittsfield to Martha's Vineyard
