I get the fail whale/invalid URL thing 3 days a week, and tonight it just kept doing "We're sorry, something went wrong, try again in a minute" and "You've exceeded your hourly usage"

I don't think he's saying to ban them or the words...just, if by peer pressure that the people saying those words were made as uncomfortable saying the words as the people hearing the words were, then over time the use of them would become extinct.

Well you all know I am a classhole (leaning more towards asshole than classy), I do not believe in censoring words. Yes, some words are hateful and offensive, but that is a part of life. If words really get under your skin that bad, then you should just hide in a room in the fetal position for the rest of your life. People need to toughen up, whether your straight, you like to scissor and sword fight, black, yellow or white, people have become way too soft.

It's not "soft" to go out in public or to go on a message board or whatever and to expect to not have to hear hateful words. To feel like you are being degraded b/c of your race, or your sexual orientation, or something else you have no control over. Because you are black or gay doesn't mean you should have to spend your time either ignoring these hateful things that degrade you or fighting against people to make it stop. Every time someone uses the "n" word or the "f" word to make a negative comment about someone, you are dually reinforcing that those individuals are second class citizens by creating that association. If you want to call me an asshole, you don't need to degrade an entire group of people at the same time to do it.

"That is a part of life" is a TERRIBLE argument for excusing bad and unacceptable behavior. All people deserve some minimal amount of respect. Words are powerful things and can take that away. And while free speech is an important right, human decency shouldn't get lost in the shuffle.

You're right, Jeff. We shouldn't need to censor people, because they shouldn't be that fucking idiotic in the first place.
