I don't think you are trying to pass judgement, and I share your concern. No doubt his decision making process when drinking is not right (who's is?). I just not ready to dismiss a guy outright as low quality because he has a drinking problem. I'd need to know more about the specifics. such as, has be tried rehab or other support offerings and blew them off? Has he showed up to work drunk or hungover and not been able to participate fully? Does he recognize and admit he has a problem?

Most people that have a drinking problem wont take action to correct it until that problem causes issues in other areas. And even ten, the drinking isnt the problem in their minds, its the other things that cause them to drink. And to a degree they are right. If a man drinks because he is depressed, and he is depressed because of other issues... odds are you fix the underlying issue, and the drinking all of asudden is not such a problem.

This kid has talent, and some one is going to take a flyer on it despite his poor choice of coping mechanism. IM not sure if that should be us or nt... but Im not going to rule it out because the man has a fondness for Crown Royal.

UNtil he is able to make it through an off season without coming up lame, zero faith should be put into him producing for us. I put him in the same room with Gallette. Hope for the best, but plan as f he aint going to be there.


While I agree we need to improve the defense, the offense is whats carrying the team. So ensuring a strength of the team stays a strength should be top priority.

My dad is a functioning alcoholic. My mom says he drinks cause he worries about me (nothing to worry about, I think it's an excuse). I'm not looking forward to the guilt trips when he's gone one day.

Sounds like my dad, only its painting instead of music. Only man I know that can paint a house, or a mural half a case in and that shit will be flawless... but sober cant hold a paint brush to save his ass.

He can drink a bottle a day for all I care. Just don't act so stupid & call for a freaking ride - especially after midnight when the cops are out in force. If he is worried about being labeled as a drunk by using the NFL free ride service (which apparently several NFL players claim was used against them at contract time) - fine - spend a few bucks on UBER - I think that he can afford it. This is not rocket science.
