I agree they have done nothing with her in the books. That just means there is a clean slate for the show. Switching the sex is no biggie, and introducing her early is also no biggie.

Again, my guess in that he is not book-related, though...

It was pretty good. Feel I should probably critique in order to give chf something to respond to though..

1) Really thought it would have been more intense for Rick to come back to find Negan holding Judith, but okay....

2) Once again, it seems they are picking on characters we really don't give a shit about?

a) Shooting Olivia? Who cares?
b) Slicing open Spencer? Who cares? (Though I guess that was comic driven)
c) Taking away Eugene? Who cares? (Probably comic related as well? Don't know)
d) Threatening to slice up Rosita, but only really giving her a little nick on the face...

I really think now would have been the time to take a hand. Someone's hand. ANYONE'S hand. I think it would have been sad and cringe-worthy, but VERY effective to really cut up Rosita's face. And while nobody cares about Olivia, they probably could have gotten away with just shooting a random Alexandrian there...

Carol is starting to get on my nerves... Here's an idea Carol! If you want to get away and don't want people bothering you? Leave the cushy little safehouse you've been put up in!!! Aren't you the "bad ass" survivalist now? Strike out on your own and don't be where everyone knows where you are!!! DUH!!!

Negan should not have shaved. Though I have to say I did like that he finally lost his shit when Rosita took her shot at him.

I know it is plot necessary for Maggie to become a bad ass. I'm not really buying it at this point. She ran over a car with a tractor. Good for her!

Also, I like it that we're mobilizing for war, but they seem to have gone through great pains to show us that you can't just shoot Negan because you don't know who you can trust, but now it is as easy as strutting through the gates of the Hilltop and saying, "Let's get these guys!"?

Oh, but still loving it.

Yes, the Spencer and Eugene things were from the comics. If you watch closely, Rosita cut herself. I agree about Carol. If she really wanted to be left alone, she would leave the area. I still think it was either Dwight or Dwight's wife that gave Daryl the key. I also agree about Negan shaving. It took the badass out of him, IMO.

Eugene could actually have bigger implications if he got his thumb out of his ass and started making more bullets. Taking him away nicks that. Eugene did give Rick instructions how to make the bullets, but we aren't really sure if he still has that/knows what to do with it.

I'm perceiving that Maggie is just becoming really well-liked in the Hilltop, not necessarily bad ass. Seems more natural that way, maybe that's just me.

It's interesting that Negan takes him this early. Eugene making bullets is a big part of AOW, and was actually one of the few things I liked about him, but not it seems the show is taking that away and replacing his bullet making with Oceanside's massive armory. OR, Negan is going to have Eugene make bullets in the same place he originally made them for the Saviors, but Rosita will know where it is and then Rick's group will be able to ambush it and take control of it

The show is perfectly fine. The last episode in November got the lowest rating in 4 years, and it still got a 5 times better rating than the 3rd place show. (2nd place was TTD). Once the All Out War gets going, viewers will be drawn back.

It was a rah-rah moment with Rick's people, but they are powerless now. I can't see how they would have much time to fortify (less than a day) before Neegan comes to get Darryl back.

The only thing that would help would be to go convince the Amazonian women, like now.

I don't understand why Rick didn't hide the weapons they found on the boat somewhere outside ASZ. He knows that Negan is going to constantly come by the ASZ to collect what's "his".
