I had us at 6-2 at the break with losses against Pitt and Cincy. The Cowboys game will bite us in the ass at the end. Cincy is just not playing well right now and the Lions have a bad defense. So yes 6-2 can still hold up at the break.

What is interesting is that ARi, GB, and Car are not nearly the teams that we thought they were at pre season. They could become possible wins in the 2nd half of the season. The only real L on the schedule right now is Minn. It looks like us and Dallas for the division.

Way to early to tell. 6-2 is a possibility, but we are due to lay an egg. I'd say 5-3 is more likely. Don't count either GB or CAR out. Injuries will be the real story. Who gets them and who doesn't. May be the deciding factor. I like our overall depth, but we have a few areas where we are dangerously thin. An injury to the DL or S could prove devesting. Another one to our LB corp could really leave a mark. TE is another area we are thin. I'm real impressed with our depth at OL and WR.

My original prediction was 8-8. I may have to revise that upward, but I need another week to see if this new defense (and scheme) is for real. We still give up big gains right up the middle, but we are stone cold tough against the pass. At least we appear to be tackling marginally better. We still suck at it, however.

Yeah I had them around 8-8 too and agree it's hard to call the next 2, who would have thought Detroit would be a tough game? Wish we had Carolina before they finally figure it out but then again by game 15 they could be just playing out the string.

Detroit has a good offense but bad defense. It would probably be a shoot out.

who would have thought Detroit would be a tough game?.

Any Skins fan who's payed attention the last few years, homey. The last time the Skins beat the Lions was in 2008. Since than Detroit has run 3 straight on the Skins.

Yes but wat happened in 2009 means little. They no longer have Calvin Johnson and we no longer have Jim Zorn.

Detroit Lions vs. Washington Redskins Results | The Football Database

Until recently the Redskins have dominated this series. Prior to 2008 they won 22 of 24 vs. the Lions dating back to 1968. That 2009 win by the Lions broke a huge losing streak for them since the 2008 team went 0-16.

However - as mentioned above - none of this means anything rt. now. These are both totally different teams w/ different coaches & a lot of different players. HTTR

Next two weeks are huge with the schedule getting tougher. Skins can absolutely lose both of these, but they can win both of them too.

6-2 means you can probably play 500. ball the rest of the way out and still get in. HTTR

Not really. Look at the way the Cowboys are playing. 9-7 will not win the division this year.

I think 10-6 gets you a wildcard. Four division winners +GB.

That leaves the Cardinals 3-3, Panthers 1-5, Giants 3-3, and Skins 4-2 fighting for the last spot if Dallas keeps rolling and Rodgers gets his shit together.

Panthers would have to go 9-1 to get to 10. If you can go into week 17 a game behind NY, win the finale, and have a tie-breaker over them. Arizona's schedule is brutal.

Who else? Bucs? Saints? Rams? Lions? There is a real good chance the East sends a WC this year.

I agree with that. I thought you were talking about the NFC East winner.
