Prediction Friday....Scratching my head and wondering if...

... this is a "Code Red" game or not? As games go, is it possible, because of the weaknesses of both teams for some here to see it as I do....a toss-up? If that's the case, what gives either of these teams an edge? Our guys were very sloppy and not afforded enough attempts to run the ball in the opener. They are down their QB. Both teams have glaring holes on the defensive side of the ball and at this point are both suspect offensively. So, in this one I'm going to have to rely upon my own set of intangibles. They are: If this is one of those seasons where we split with them, I must go with the idea, hatefully, that they take this one. I prefer to win the November Nat. televised game. The second and more reasonable one is, that our guys are woeful on the big stage. This game may not be slated for Monday, Thursday or a holiday, but whenever these two play it is as close to that as possible. Dallas 27- 17. The usual questions are:

2. Player(s) of the game and standout play/moment
3. Hottest topic of conversation at the water cooler about this one.

I dont think Monday was about the coach leading, so much as the front office ignoring our most glaring weaknesses the entire off season. My blind deaf dead uncle knew we needed D-line and RB help. We went for WR's corners and tweeners. If the plan was seriously to draft for playmakers, then free agency should have been used to bring in starting caliber D-line and RB help.


This team lacks at the moment because we can not run the ball, and cant stop the run. Making us one sided on offense, and predictable on defense.

I have no argument with anything that you've written, but my point has more to do with knee jerk reactions based on unreal expectations that come with the mood of DC after a loss. Of course the front office ignored these glaring weaknesses, but ours is a very impatient fan base that's not really interested in how we got here, only results. Unfortunately, wins and losses fall directly on Gruden whether he deserves it or not. I have a particular dislike for the Star hats and won't bat an eye if they never win another game...ever, but I'm also a realist and employ practical thinking skills.......we lose this one and.....well...that's what my previous post was about.
