And they are kind of stuck with him because Valbuena went on the DL last week. You have to be careful sometimes about making some guy the next Mantle or Brooks Robinson or Mays and so on.

I do not know what happened to LuJac once he went to AAA a year or so ago. Now he even stinks at AA. Maybe they should do to him what they did to Volquez and send him back to A ball and work back up.

Saw the BSox called up Andrew Benintendi today from AA, will be interesting to see how he fares as well. I have thought it was way too soon for both but we will see how it plays out

He isn't much use to us if he cant ever gain confidence, if that's what it takes they should make it happen. I said he looks like he's afraid to throw strikes when he was pitching in the bigs, let him go find some sort of success and build on that

Had to miss the entire game tonight due to a business dinner. I was pissed I'd be missing the debuts of Lucroy and Beltran. Now I'm glad I missed it. From the highlights, recap, and thread on here, it seems as though:
- Yu was dominant until late
- Ump had a questionable strike zone
- Bundy was excellent
- The previous two points made our bats go silent
- Alvarez looks like a bust early on
- Our pitchers now have a catcher they can trust with pitch calls
- The Astros lost, which caused some happiness and others disgust at its mention

That about cover it?

Yu was good but he made some mistakes and he missed his spots. Apparently he shook Lucroy off on all 3 HR's, not sure you can say for sure if he threw what JLuc called it would have made a difference. Bundy was good, ump helped him some. Dario cant be counted on until he proves he can. People don't want the Astros results to override what the Rangers do on any given night. People hope the Rangers should be able to handle their own destiny. That would be great if it worked that way and you didnt have to count on other teams results. That said its scoreboard watching time and I will follow every pitch with all the division foes from here on out, and especially the team directly behind us, and will post updates

Will withhold judgement on Alvarez being a bust for now, but yes he's had a rough go of it early, but rather have him than Claudio in there

Otherwise pretty accurate

1-32 actually. And if you count his last 3 games in the minors... 1-43.

1 for his last 43.

This is his first season in pro ball --- I'd say its time to let him sit and recharge. But hey, since its the Astros -- ruin the kid.

Just heard that Houston is really concerned over McCullers elbow.

Hey and @Nightcrawler the Stros lost 2-1 to Dickey and the BJays

I wish there was some way they could both tie. I hate seeing either of those teams win, but since the Astros are the competition, I have to begrudgingly hope the Jays win. I feel dirty tho.

Man... SF got absolutely shellacked by the Phillies last night. Shitty games happen, and apparently ours wasn't the worst.

The Rangers new line up was atrocious tho. I guess it might take a few games for things to come together.

Was nothing to do about being a new line up. We have seen bad games before and will see it again. It's over. Move on. It is called baseball.

And some times the players put a little more pressure on themselves when new players arrive.

What happened?

In the 5th inning, he threw a pitch, winched, and he was immediately visited by the catcher, then the doc. And he was ushered into the dugout rather quickly.

Good point. Thought about this last night myself. Let's see how settled down we look tonight.

But in fairness, Bundy looked really sharp too.
