Just because we state the facts doesn't mean we believe either player is great. Both have value on this team.

Funny, but I havent seen a single person proclaim Murphy or Long having pushed another player out of a roster spot nor hinted that either were the real reason their position group improved as a whole. NO one has been hoping another player gets cut so as to prove the total awesomeness of either of these guys. IN fact every one has said, Murphy, Long and Moses are all average.

Facts my ass. IMO Murphy will be a role player at best. If Long cant win the starting LG position now going against a hurt Lavou and a green Kojo then that is pretty pitful too. You are the one who said Long is the same as Gabe Jackson.

As of right now IMO Murphy and Long have been disappointments as draft picks. One is on the chopping block and one cant beat average competition to become a starter.

Aside from your opinion, who has said that EITHER are on the chopping block?? And to be 100% honest, there are only about 8-10 players on this roster who SHOULD feel secure in making roster. Long, Murphy and yes Moses.. should NOT consider themselves on that list. Because if they are true to our GMs form... any of these three could lose not only their starting spot, but their roster spot if they are outplayed this coming training camp. Again.. Moses managed to be one of the best options on a line that for YEARS has been abysmal aside from the LT position.... and this you are pleased with??

What facts? Starts mean nothing when you are not productive. Murphy started his rookie year b/c he was a 2nd round pick and there was no other option at OLB at the time. Murphy had the luxury of playing with RK and still did not flash in the OLB role. There is no fact that Murphy or Long for that matter are above average players. If Long gets beat out for the starting LG bid I think that is another example on why he is not a good player. The guy has avg at best competition
