I feel like I have the edge in this matchup everywhere except the middle of the order. My top of the lineup, bottom of the lineup, bench and both starting pitching and pen are all better. 500

Even matchup in a lot of areas, but 500's outstanding starting pitching would be the
difference

500 in 6

I got WLK in a game 7. Game 7 bottom 9 with WLK leading 3-2 and 500's team at the plate with 2 out. 500's closer Papelbon chokes out Mantle before he heads out to the plate. Just don't see 500's bench being clutch with that pressure.

Weird because I can tell you from experience Swisher is the worst playoff player of all time :suds:

I got 500 here. Wlk did a fine job compensating for a bad trade with me(we all blame femur). But just not enough to take on 500s team

500, by a very slim margin. That rotation makes the difference.

I actually do not like the add/drops WLK made, I gotta go 500 here, this is probably the closest game for me so far.

Congrats 500.

Boy, we are gonna get an earfull from WLK!

I hope so. I need to read his sales pitch. Unfortunately I don't think we will get it. He was very upset with the team he drafted.

Wlk, please write it anyway!!!

I'mnot voting in this since I don't have to....

But I also want to read wlks response. Partly because I actually like his team quite a bit after everything shook out, partly because I know what he was trying to do with all of his moves, and partly because I always like reading wlks responses.

I'm not good enough to argue the baseball drafts, I'm just going off of numbers... And 1800 SO is a lot for a lead off IMO in fact he's almost double SO to BB... Second, from what I understand that middle of the order is the meat and where your points are generated... And from what I understand my 3-6 batters are WAY better than 500s... Getting guys on base is half of the equation the meat of the order is where it pays off... And from what I understand Altuve is a hell of a leadoff... Then Markakis...

Nick Markakis - .291ba .359obp 623/857 SO/BB
Dustin Pedoria - .299ba .365obo 511/530 SO/BB

My guys a lefty his is a righty, I still give him the nod but not by much... Cutch hitting 6 is wow IMO... No way you don't give up at least 1 run everytime you get to my 3-6 batters... Cespedes 7 Melky 9 not sure how much "better" the bottom of the order is but hey...

Pitching Johnson and Mathewson I get that but IMO Seaver can get a split and deGrom vs Feller...? So if I get those 2 I have to get 1 out of Peavy vs Strausburg and 1 out of Buhrle vs Wilson which with my heavy bats I should be able to outscore 500...

Again I'm not going to go too far with this because I'm not there yet... But from the way we've been doing these and from what I've seen I don't agree at all... I got me in 6

By the way about the drops... I hated to drop both my WC picks as I loved having Pudge and Manny... But 1, I needed a pitcher and 2 I felt a SS was more important than a DH... As for Gore, the guy has 8 steals in 20 games I think they were all in the playoffs and as pointed he was only a pinch runner... It's said he is the fastest man in baseball and I believe that would average out to like 72 steals on a 182 games...:noidea:

Why would Feller face my third starter?

I'm going by the way the rotation was set which is why Dickie was 3rd on my list... I figured I've give that one away and pick up the last 2...:noidea:
