Congratulations Cam Newton. Hand that man the 2nd unanimous MVP ever, and get that yellow jacket!

I'm one of the biggest Russell Wilson fans around, but his first 9 weeks were terrible outside of the Lions game, and I'm sure voters will remember that. Cam definitely has a shot at the unanimous vote.

I highly doubt he will get a unanimous vote. Whether it is Wilson or Brady or Palmer, someone will vote against him most likely.

It's funny you have to admit.

So you'll laugh at Pats fans unfairly propping Brady but then you'll denigrate his status and place him among the also-rans.

Remember when you actually used to talk football before you became addicted to trolling? Remember? It was before you lost all hope after BB schooled your new head coach who was going to be the answer for the Phins. Since then you've gone all Hammer retarded.

As I already stated, he was trying to draw a flag by falling to the ground.

He would make an excellent soccer player, that or maybe a stand in for a tantrum-throwing two year old

Brady is having one of his best seasons for sure, But Cam is doing more things at a high level and is the clear cut choice in my opinion. Palmer is playing great but he has incredible weapons to throw to. Wilson is now playing at a remarkably high level, but he was not in the conversation for the first 6 or so games.
The bottom line is Cam and RW are changing the QB roll and making it multi-dimensional. They are both very effective in the pocket - they both can read defenses and make changes at the line but their running skills and the threat of the run has elevated the position. Throw all the stats out you want but I believe any defensive coordinator would rather game plan for Brady or Palmer rather than Cam or RW.

As far as Cam and the HOF talk - that is pure craziness. The guy will have to perform at a very high level for a number of years. People do not get in because of 1 great season.

True.

He does not, however, embarrass himself every time he makes a play.

Only reason I mentioned the HOF was because only 12 out of 34 players who have won MVP (and are eligible) have not made it. So 65% of the MVP winners have made the HOF and that number will go up significantly when Manning, Brady, A. Petersen, and Rodgers become eligible.

You're right though, Cam has a long ways to go, but an MVP on the resume doesn't hurt. Its not as important as rings though.

His numbers really weren't all that eye popping. They had a good record. But given they were 16-0 the year before, 11-5 isn't all that impressive really.

Tom Brady went 10-6 the year after Cassell won 11

A dork for sure.

Will one of you....anybody.....just admit that you can't find a clip of Brady dancing around the field like Cam the fem?

Has anyone claimed that Tommy ever did? You sure are perseverating on someone finding video evidence of him dancing in celebration...

You are correct sir.
Of the current players I see Brady, Peyton, Brees and Rodgers going in on first ballot. Roethlisberger should be early but not sure about first. Eli, if he gets in will take several ballots. I do not see any other QBs close at this time.

Long way to go to make judgement on Ben and Eli, they could both make themselves no brainer first ballots by time their careers' end

Doesn't Eli have two SB rings? Be hard pressed to see him getting left out.

Maybe, but I think the few years that bad Eli played will keep him from being an early ballot inductee.

He's put together 2 really nice seasons, no coicidence his Oline has improved and having Beckhman certainly helps....2 rings, passed Montana this season on the passing yards list

Never missed a game in his career.....4 or 5 more injury free seasons, and the possibility of some more playoff success.....Gonna be hard to keep him out IMO

I've claimed that he doesn't act like Cam. For some reason, it's been going on pages and y'all have reached for every conceivable angle to avoid simply agreeing.

It's really not too hard to concede a point. I've done it a couple of times in this thread.

I would agree Tommy doesn't act like Cam, on or off the field (sans the lying, they both have that dirty bit of laundry). Cam also doesn't walk around with a stick up his butt and like his balls handled just so :dhd:
