It didn't get really bad for me till late July which is when I start getting revved up for the season. I really didn't notice the toxicity of the board till then.

I'll put it this way... I wasn't that big into trolling the NFL general until this offseason.

I'm with ya. I didn't read the NFL General board until this offseason. It really got off to a bang with the MA thread, and just picked up steam from there.

1 or 2 anti-Brady threads for every 10 pro-Brady threads... Could care less about the bashing. That comes with the territory of being winners. If you can't handle those threads, then you must be new at being a fan. The way most of the Pats fans on here handled it was very poorly.

Don't know the precise ratio, but from memory it wasn't 1 or 2 to 10 back then.

And I handled them just fine, and I have been a fan since the mid 70's. (It's all just entertainment, even these boards. If you met me in person you would likely find this is a stress release type persona for me.)

Two of my neighbors on this cul de sac are Steeler fans, guess who I'm driveway tailgaiting with on the 10th prior to the game.

It's mostly why the board was so cluttered on the subject. It still amazes me how many people couldn't figure that out the past few monts.

The NFL board is now more off-putting than the PF. A lot of posters just avoid it except for handful of ones that like the circle jerk.

I am not one to tell anyone how to run their site, but I imagine you could get just as many hits by cleaning up the place as you can by letting it play out the way it has for the last few months.

Or it could be that it was the offseason and there was only one hot topic in the news, Like someone else pointed out, now that the season is approaching it will start to rebalance.

It's kind of the natural progression of a years time on an NFL board. The old CBS board was the same way.
