I've seen one for the Pac and Sec so I thought we should get one going for us B1Gers to discuss conference related things.

This is not a nutswinger thread

Since none of the mods are Big10 (except some Nebraska guys) it may be hard to keep out trash posts from others but we'll make sure to alert the mods in charge so we can keep this thread to civil talk.

So games, recruiting, news let's discuss it all here :suds:

Final Big10 Standings 2014 (sorry for the highlight, does that for favorite teams)

Since last years ending standings were posted why not get some predictions for next years?

East:
Ohio State, Mich State, Penn State and TTUN tie, Maryland, Indiana, Rutgers

West
Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Northwestern, Iowa, Illinois, Purdue

Nebraska gets dominated in the title game by tOSU.

Feel free to post records, I was just too lazy to go through all the schedules.

First page way too early and obvious to start trolling. Seriously, congrats on the big win Buckeyes, should be the team to beat for the next few years at least.

I'd say Ohio State wins the East

As for the West I wouldn't be surprised to see Minny win it with Nebraska and Wisconsin both having new coaches and losing their top running backs

Good morning Fish and thanks for the link, a couple thoughts about the Big Ten, one is that I think Maryland and especially Rutgers will see a jump in recruiting by joining the conference and another is it's a cool story that both Maryland and Rutgers were bowl eligible first year in.

I also hear that Joey Bosa has a younger brother that plays the same position and will be a Buckeye but I haven't been able to confirm that but I hope it's true!

As much as it pains me congrats Buckeyes on the NC. I do look forward to the future of the B1G. Already got tickets for next years games and really thinking about taking a trip to the Shoe. Definitely going to the PSU UMD game since it is being played in Baltimore 15 minutes from my house :D

I think the B1G East in a year or two will be what the SEC West has been in recent year. Meyer, Harbaugh, Dantonio, Franklin, and Edsall. Should be fun. As fair as PSU I think they go 9-3 10-2 next year. Would be a miracle to beat MSU and OSU, but everyone else I think with an improved O Line is beatable. Is it September yet lol

That game in Baltimore should be fun! Good luck this year

Can I make a suggestion? You have the old big ten logo in opening post. Put the updated one there.

I think this conference is on the rise. Obviously you got ohio state. But Harbaugh at michigan and Chryst seems good fit for wisconsin.

Maryland and Rutgers definitely will be playing better ball in the coming years. The problem for them will be having to face tOSU, MSU, UM, and PSU every year. TTUN got their coaching situation figured out it seems and Penn State should be playing with a full roster. Last but not least, if Indiana can get anything figured out at QB they could have a decent season with that UAB transfer. Now the West looks muddled. All 3 of the top teams lose their featured back. Wisky will probably be ok, they always seem to plug in new rbs. Northwestern could be a good team if they develop some consistency and avoid the injury bug. Time to start fresh at HC for Iowa yet? I don't foresee Purdue or Illinois getting much better.
