Analysis: Going into the season this looked to be the premier early season tip off, outside the Battle for Atlantis, with 5 teams coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance a year ago. However, Kansas State and Pittsburgh both suffered bad losses on their way to Maui, with Hawai'i taking down Pitt, and Kansas State losing to Long Beach State. Looks like the top half of the bracket is Arizona's to lose, and frankly, I think they breeze into the championship game. The bottom half pits a really intriguing game with BYU taking on San Deigo State. What a contrast of styles as you have the uptempo Cougars facing SDSU's great defense. I think defense will prevail in that match up, and you'll have a Pittsburgh/SDSU semifinal. I think SDSU wins relatively easy and sets up a rematch of last year's sweet 16 match up with Arizona taking on SDSU. Should be a great championship game. I think Arizona's size will be too much for SDSU and Arizona wins by less than 10 in a classic game.

Lots of chances for a team to unseat Arizona in this one, and that's what I'll be watching for.

Kansas State could do it in the 2nd round, BYU/San Diego State/Pitt could all do it in the championship with a little bit of luck on their side.

Purdue has to be the lamest school in the Big Ten. Their colors are tan and black, their mascot is the Boilermakers, and they are just "meh" at everything they do.

to be honest, you'd much rather face us now then later in the year. we are still trying to figure things out as well, albeit in a much different way from mizzou.

it doesn't matter how much talent u have. if one team is hot from 3 and your team has a cold shooting game u can go down.

Kstate has some talent but they would have to play incredible. SDSU wont have enough O.

If we play like this against K-State, we could easily lose. 0-8 from 3 so far
