Yeah you're right. I only root for these teams because they're good....

Love it when ppl try to tell you who you can root for

Funny thing is fans like myself who root for teams all over the country and stick with them through the good & bad are actually more loyal than those who only root for their home town team when things are going well.

> A's lose again in do or die games

1-13 in postseason series clinching and play-in games since 2000. OUCH!

One thing that A's fans will always have is pride in not being all over the map bandwagon front running fans.

Pride in your team even after a collapse >>>>>>>>
frontrunning teams all over the continental US map

Thanks for the season A's and thanks for trying at magic Beane.

A's aren't going anywhere. Parker and Griffin are coming back.

A's could still have a good team next year, even if they don't resign Lester. Problem is, the AL West could be a lot tougher.

Not expecting injuries to decimate my team again next year!

The A's pitching isn't going anywhere from what I know outside of Lester....at least they're starting pitching

They should try to get a bat though

A critical difference, though, is that the right team won last night.

Last night's game was a reminder not to draw conclusions over small sample sizes.

I came close to throwing my remote through my TV with all the "JON LESTER IS THE GREATEST POST SEASON PITCHER EVER" commentary leading up to the game. Yeah, he had a 2.11 ERA but in only 70-something innings of baseball.

Yup. And even if it were an efficient sample size, anything can happen in one start.

Maybe Brad Pitt can star in the sequel to money ball....

One Trade to many!

The A's had a decent staff but Beane just could not let it ride. He had to give away some great young talent and a proven big league power hitter in Cespedes.

I hope A's fans like being a .500 team for the next few years.

Yeah sabermetrics! Stolen bases are over rated and don't bunt, you only get 27 outs and you shouldn't waste any. Wait.....

Laugh at what? A terrific ballgame? Why?

Great "one-n-done" wild card game in my OP. A's had em on the ropes like 3 different times, Royals fought back time and time again. It doesn't get any better than that. A's gave it away long before the first pitch of this one was tossed out.

I was left with my jaw on the ground after watching that one.

It was definitely a great game.

I think people are just laughing because at one point it seemed like the A's looked like a championship team but then they sold their future to solidify themselves only to lose in the Wild Card game.

So how long does Lester now have to wait before he can resign with Boston? Hoping the A's offer him a contract and he takes less to go back to Boston, just to rub it in.

this meltdown by the A's is certainly one for the ages. As far as Lester , he's done in Oakland AND Boston.
