3 reasons why
1.Better Thrower WRONG!
2.Can Read Defenses WRONG!
3.Goes through progressions ONLY BECAUSE THAT WHAT HE'S DONE HIS ENTIRE CAREER, TOO BAD HE STILL THROW PICKS AND MAKES BAD DECISIONS.
2 INT'S AGAIN ST THAT SECONDARY? LOL

im not trolling, your fanbase is widely overreacting. You guys were talking about RG3 being all time great, now cousins two pick effort is better than anything RG3 ever did........? come on bud

Looks like trolling to me, we have a smack talk threat for that.

Cmon - let's be a little more reasonable here. Here is what that Steelers fan (who is generally a good, respectful poster) posted:

again 1 game, agaisnt a horrible defense, still lost, threw 2 picks......

How is that trolling? He is absolutely correct. I wish the best for Cousins, RG3 & anyone that plays QB for the team. However - let's keep this in perspective. Some of the same people currently badmouthing RG3 where the same ones singing his praises last season. Things change & could very likely change for the better for RG3 next season & beyond.

If they choose for whatever reason to go with Cousins in the future (doubtful) then I would be behind him 100%. Let's all remember that we are rooting for the Washington Redskins not some individuals. At least I hope that is the case for the fans (have my doubts for some people).

There was a reason a smack talk thread was set up. I am not on the Pittsburgh site. That is for the Pittsburgh fans.

I like the idea of sitting RG3 to make sure that he is ready and healthy for a full offseason of work. OTA's, minny camps and preseason work that Cousins got last offseason. I think this will go a long way in getting RG3 back to the player he was in 2012 and give him the confidence in the pocket that he did not have this year. Cousins had that work this year and it showed in Preseason and in the last game. He is a pocket passer and will do better in the pocket, but it is the dynamic of RG3s legs that sets him apart from KC.

By the way you seem to be assuming I said a lot of things I didn't say. What I said was "looks like trolling to me." No where did I say he was right, wrong or anything else. Thanks for your additional thoughts. :noidea:

now i agree with sitting him and the above link is why

the skins staff has failed miserably here

so why play him if you arent going to teach him or give him different plays to run ? they dont spread the field with him , they rely heavily on the pistol with him , they dont throw seem routes with him

maybe the staff is more at fault then previously mentioned

Griffin has looked mighty small and jittery in the pocket this season and although Cousins is supposedly only one inch taller than Griffin, he played A LOT taller than him yesterday. Griffin also looks smaller than he did last season and certainly less sturdy on his feet. The injury has taken a huge toll on him mentally and physically in my opinion.

I liked hearing Cousins say that he was going through his 2nd, 3rd and sometimes his 4th progressions yesterday. That was supported by some replays I remember seeing.

Cousins has had two starts Cleveland and ATL. Two bad teams. RG3 (when healthy) was rookie of the year. You mean to tell me that you would move up Cousins over RG3 based on TWO STARTS? ....that is the stupidest load of horseshit I've heard in a long time. How about you teach RG3 how to be a better pocket passer instead of all the gimmicky crap we run when he's in the game? He's smart and dedicated enought to learn anything you throw at him.

So now the excuse dejour is that the coaches infact did not even try and teach Griffin the basics of reading defenses, going through progressions and being decisive with the ball?? they were more concerned with making the gimicky offense work?? I agree that Griffin SHOULD turn out to be a better QB in the long run. But right now he lacks key elements which is likely the reason why the read option still prevails when he is in the lineup. But i get it if everyone wants to believe the coaches just didnt try. Its more acceptable than saying maybe the QB needs to be more dedicated to actually LEARNING to be a pocket passer than complaining about the coaches not using him that way.

Once again, its not all or nothing. Of course the coaching staff has tried to teach RG3 to read defenses and go through a route tree. But, if he has never done it, it takes a couple of years to become proficient at it and RG3 had no offseason to take it from the classroom to the field. Once the season starts, there is no time to work on fundamentals, every minute of your practice time is installing the game plan for next week. Every one needs to just chill. I agree with Brock, RG3 will learn and develop these skills. But to expect them to happen in his second year with no off season to work on it is unrealistic, at best.

If we are having this same conversation this time next year, its time to start worrying about RG3's ability to evolve.

This is a pretty logical expression here. Robert was CLEARLY not healthy early on, and why he was allowed to play? who knows? But we all have seen what he can do when 100% If the coaching staff wants to use him a certain way to take advantage of his running abilities that's not his fault. If they start using Kirk in heavy pistol formations despite his lack of speed is that bad?

This trade RGIII crap is laughable but this franchise is dumb enough to do it.

i will give you the answer , he was healthy enough to play however it takes time to get to where you were . most of the time it is the 2nd year after surgery that you are mentally ready

you need to play through that . it took AP 6 games to get it back but RB is no where complex as qb

now add to it that he didnt get a real off season to learn and the problem just gets bigger

now what we have here is a bunch of fans who are so flavor of the day that they are mad that they didnt listen to people who said beware of the expectations because you are asking a lot

i didnt listen , but a difference is i admit i was a moron and they cant do that so they say give up on the guy

i have little doubt we will see an improved qb in RG3 . but i will also say he will still be a work in progress

by his 4th year if all goes well he should be on top of his game as a qb but i doubt these guys have the patience for that

my position to them is if you dont think he is a franchise qb then cut ties with him asap and get the guy that is , but no they wont say or advocate that . they want to hedge their bets

and lets be clear despite all their double talk every now and then they let it slip out covertly or overtly that they have given up on him

Skinsdad.... since we are judging QBs and you think RG3 is a franchise QB... you still think Tannehill was a mistake as a top ten pick?? Just curious as to your take.

Pday... Just remember, the next time Romo isnt remember as a choke artist who was over paid will be the first time. Dallas is one loss away from firing their own coach, $30 million over the cap AGAIN, and you honestly think its much better in Dallas?? Keep spinning boss. The difference is I can admit the Skins are once again screwed and might have made a mistake on th griffin thing. You honestly believe dallas is in better shape??

Now that right there is funny I dont care who ya are.
