Away opponents: Arizona, San Francisco, Houston, Indianapolis and the NFC North Division winner

Buzz, your girlfriend...woof. On paper this looks brutal. Plus take into account last place schedule will be against Minnesota (already beat us), Atlanta (have to think they are better next year when healthier) and either NO/CAR or GB/DET/CHI again.

Not sure why it has us playing the NFCS and NFCN Division WINNERS, though - is that a misprint or can someone shed some light on that?

Pits not going to be as bad a schedule as some people think. There are always teams that are worse than people thought they were going to be, and better.

Case in point: yourrrrrr Washington redskins, falcons, texans, chiefs, cardinals

to be the best you have to beat the best . the tougher the schedule the better off the team could be

also i am thinking our staff could be coaching the senior bowl

Actually - I don't think it looks to be bad especially the home schedule. Of the non NFC-E teams the only home game that looks difficult is the Seahawks (& they are not as good playing away). As for the away games - the only one that appears to be penciled in as a "L" is the 49ers game. Some of the other games (Cards, Colts) are tough but certainly winable.

Of course this all depends on the progress of the Redskins and all of these teams. If the Redskins even remotely resemble the current team they will have problems with just about any team they play (including the Jags).

Seattle will have some serious choices to make in the coming year.

Richard Sherman isn't a FA until 2015; however, I am putting him at the top because I expect him to be a holdout if he doesn't get paid this offseason. He's still making less than a million dollars.

Golden Tate will be a 2014 FA and has been a huge part of that offense and STs. He's going to want to get paid but with all those resources already tied up in Percy Harvin, I expect him to be gone.

Brandon Browner is a 2014 FA.

Michael Robinson is a 2014 FA and is an integral part of their run game.

Doug Baldwin is a 2014 FA.

Michael Bennett is a FA in 2014 and has been a huge part of their defense.

Walter Thurmond is their third CB and is a 2014 FA.

Giacomini and McQuistan are FAs in 2014.

Steven Hauschka is a 2014 FA and will want quite a bit more money.

Earl Thomas is a FA in 2015 and is already one of the best FS in the game. He could be a potential holdout.

Cliff Avril is a FA in 2015 so there will be a decision at that point.

KJ Wright is a 2015 FA. He's a very low paid starter and will want more money.

Jermaine Kearse is a 2015 FA.

They have a whole lot of decisions to make.

They won't be able to keep all these guys. They are fairly tight on cap space next year. I think they also still owe a bunch of money to Matt Flynn for that huge contract they gave him.

Thanks for the info. Also - Browner is facing a possible 1 yr suspension & that alone might cause Seahawks to let him go.

Again, another brutal schedule.

huh? in addition to being in an average division, the skins get the afc south, one of the weaker divisions and get all 3 other last place teams in the nfc. the only thing 'tough' about the schedule is the nfc west but this is an average schedule. nothing brutal about it.

When you are currently 3-9 with four games left to play. And you can honestly see your team finishing the season with losses in 3 of those last four games... every schedule has the ability to look brutal. The only questions that can be even remotely answered for this team gonig into next year are who will the QB, RB, TE and LT going to be.... aside from that there are questions across the board which would make one question everything else including the brutality of next seasons schedule.

No battles needed. It will be interesting to see if we do infact end up handing over the #1 pick in this years draft though. Time to concentrate on a few key factors.

1. Who will the coach be next year.
2. Will we revert to a 4-3 defense

i dont know who should be coach , i am on the fence about that however i am leaning to keeping shanahan . i want to see what he can do with the cap space

also if what happens like you say we could be coaching the sr bowl , a huge plus

2) i would be against going back to the 4-3 . i think it sets us back again much like going to the 3-4 did . i think we need to run an aggressive 3-4 and not this read an react kind

As far as who SHOULD coach, I dont think that matters if we are giving up the #1 pick in next years draft as a result of the trade. A finish that badly brings into question every move made by Mike the personnel AND Mike the coach.

As far as switching to a 4-3... we are so far lost on defense I dont think it matters a whole lot which way they go. We need 2 safetys no matter what. We dont have a full stable of starting 3-4 LBS as LFB is likely to retire, and RAK could do just as well at DE as LB IF we even resign him. We are also gonig to be replacing atleast on CB if not both. What better time to switch back than while we are switching DC's anyway. Because Hasslett is out the door in all likelyhood.

i think anything can happen but i think we have some good corp players here

as far as what pick the rams get its of no use worrying about it . we got our guy so what they get i could care less. . the texans and the falcons had huge drop offs as well and i think they have good players as well

And this is why no one can rationally debate the trade. When you believe the end all be all was getting our guy, it throws any possible examination of the deal out the window. The Texans and Falcons have no bearing on this topic. Sure, we got our guy. But if we are a worse team with no direction two years after getting our guy......
