Even Romo said that pick was his fault in the post game presser. "I meant to throw it a foot or two more in front of the reciever than where I put it".

When you put the game in Romo's hands like that, he'll blow it.

I won't argue that.

My biggest problem with blaming Romo is this:

Dallas scored 48 and still had Romo in that position where he needed a 2 minute drive to win the game?

Am I the only one who thinks something is seriously wrong with this picture?

i hope my team in a position to win every game with 2 minutes left. Don't we expect our QB's to be able to take at least get a go ahead FG in a two minute drill?

Depends upon the team that scored the points.

If the 'Boys had given up 51 to the Chargers or Raiders - OK, then you can blame the defense.

But the Broncos scoring 51 with Manning at QB and all the weapons he has....that's kind par for the course for them so far this year.

How many offenses routinely score that many this year?

I think the Broncos have in each of their 5 games.

So giving up that many to them is common - and thus, not the fault of the defense.

I'm sorry but that is just insanely faulty logic. They have a good offense so therefore the D isn't responsible? Yikes.

nobody is saying the defense isn't partly responsible but to say they are mostly responsible when the Cowboys were in perfect position to win, would be unfair to everyone that played defense. Remember that defense did so something no team has done this year and that is pick off an Peyton Manning pass.

I got it. so, some are arguing that since the D gave up SO many points its not really Romo's fault for throwing a Int THAT COST THE COWBOYS THE GAME.

this is kind of perfect since Dallas is America's team. this is a generation that has no accountability for anything.

I don't know if this is trolling, but it is quite possibly the most absurd statement I've ever read.

Clearly don't know shit about football. Yes, he threw a pick at the worst possible time yesterday. But the only reason that Dallas was even in the game was because of Romo. If you score 48 points at home then you damn well ought to win. The fire needs to be directed at the defense for giving up 51 points, even if it was to the 5 head. This is the NFL and that shit shouldn't happen.

I really appreciate the Cowboys. They often deflect attention from my team's choke jobs.

The people that say Romo had a bad game and choked because of the last play are so fucking stupid.

So with that logic, if they were losing at home to Jacksonville 10-6 and Romo had 0 touchdowns and 5 interceptions but he led them to a 5 yard TD pass after Gabbert threw an INT to the 5... it would be a good game?

So stupid.

Why?

If you're facing an offense that's the equal to the 1999 Rams and you give up 40 points, isn't that kind of expected?

His track record allows people to bust on him. Its not like this was a coming out party for him or anything. we've been watching him put up huge stats in games then turn it over when it counts for years.

:agree:

Fumbled snap vs Seattle anyone?

You`re right, this should be nothing new to Dallass fans.

Any defense....I don't care who the opponent is....that allows 51 points, is most responsible for that loss.

This is an NFL defense. Professionals. They are getting paid to do their job.

'But it was Peyton Manning and this happens all the time." Lame excuse.

Somebody mentioned accountability. You want to hold the quarterback of an offense that scored 48 points the most accountable for this loss and give a free pass to a defense that allowed 51 points?

We have entered one helluva freakin Twilight Zone here.

The truest test of the absurdity of this thread...

This is happening only because it is Romo. If it was Ben or Flacco or anyone else, you would be right along with me blaming who deserves it the most.

The defense that gave up 51 points.

Denver gave up 48 but manning didnt throw a pick to cost his team the game. As usual, you sound like an idiot.

I think you may be confused about the role of the defense in this sport.
