I want to be hated.
I hate you.
I want to be hated.
Dishonorable mention to Ohio State for all the reasons cited above. Mainly their fans being the biggest assholes on earth* (since their team really isn't good enough to hate very much). If I could take them seriously they might actually be on the list, but that's pretty much impossible.
5. Navy - if you're a 40+ year old Gamecock fan then you'll know why. They ruined our best national championship shot, back in 1984. We were undefeated at 9-0, ranked #2 behind Nebraska with just 2 games left. Nebraska lost, opening the door to be #1... and we lost to Navy. Naturally, we went on to beat Clemson, so we would have been undefeated, #1 and playing in a bowl for the NC. FUUUUUCK!!
4. Oklahoma - They got lots of hype when I was growing up (just like Michigan, Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Nebraska, etc.) so I never liked them in the first place, but then I went to Texas for grad school and learned to properly hate them.
3. Southern Cal - always overhyped by the media, and actually think they are the "USC" despite the historic facts to the contrary.
2. Notre Dame - believes they are entitled to be their own conference and acts like they're the greatest thing since pussy. Also, as a Satanist I find their religious affiliation offensive.
1. Clemson - I was born to hate them. Born in Athens while parents were at UGA (Dawgs used to have a semi-rivalry with Clemson), then was raised in Columbia on campus when my father got a teaching job at USC. I also went to USC as a student.
*Haydav and Shaneman are exempt from this categorization.
Dude, wear that shit like a badge of honor. If people aren't hating your team you aren't doing anything. Few hate UW because they haven't done squat in over a decade and the only upsets they have had have been other Pac teams and a Nebraska team that didn't appear to care about their bowl game.
How are you going to change the minds of haters? Can't be done so wear it proudly!
3. Tennessee: Man, I hate Tennessee...because first of all, it's Tennessee, and I just hate them...cause..they.. they lowdown, they dirty...they some snitches..and I hate Phillip Fulmer, I hate they colors, I ain't a dog person, I just hate Tennessee man......I hate Neyland Stadium...it looks like a garbage truck worker convention, and I hate all dey quarterbacks...I just hate Tennessee man.
fuckers
Michigan State - I don't hate their team. Can't really hate an average squad. I hate their inbred, neanderthal fans. Spent some time in EL and would rather go to prison than to have go back to that C-Grade, shit hole city ever again. I was lucky to get out alive after multiple riots by those pigs.
Ohio State - See Sparty. Again, hate the fans. Hard to hate a team who hasn't had a legit NCAA win in over a decade.
Boise State - Boise State fans are a lot like Sparty fans. They both beg to noticed, nobody cares about them, and their fans all sleep with their sisters.
Notre Dame - Afraid of MI, afraid of the Big Ten, lies about players having fake girlfriends to drum up money for school. Frauds.
Average SEC teams - Teams like Kentucky and Mississippi State. Even when their teams have bad records, their fans go nuts and cheer "SEC! SEC! SEC!"
Once again, in an effort to get away from the conference inferiority threads, I propose we discuss our individual Top 5 teams that you hate, and why.
My #5 would be LSU. I dislike LSU because they are the Gators' regular rival from the SEC West, and there is a lot riding on this game for both teams EVERY year.
#4----Alabama Since the inception of the SEC Championship Game in 1992, 21 games being played, the Gators played Alabama in 7 of those games. Although the Gators have won 4 of those 7, the Tide is, currently, THE team to beat in the SEC, and I expect that these two will continue their string of CGs soon.
#3----Georgia Yes, a lot of people might think that Georgia would #1 on my list, but despite the "hate" I have for them, I can't help but have respect for a great program with a great history. I was there, praying and hoping for an occasional win, when the Dawgs were dominating the Gators in the 70's and 80's, so I know what it is like to be beaten on a regular basis by those bastages. Of course, the shoe is on the other foot now, and those Dawgs are the ones who have become accustomed to the praying & hoping. While I might joke with them on this board a lot, I hold no hate towards Dawg fans. In fact, I have never really had a bad experience at the WLOCP with Dawg fans. This is one of the greatest rivalries in the country.
#2----OSU That's right. Ohio State University. Fuck the "THE" crap. How obnoxious is that BS!!? Being that the Gators OWN the Buckeyes on the field, the only reason I have to hate them is their nasty, poo-smelling, fat-ass fans who do nothing but cry about any little thing that doesn't benefit, or support, their football program. They are just a bunch of obnoxious whiners, and every CFB message board should have a limit to the amount of Buckeye fans they allow.
And finally, #1------This should be no surprise. I, absolutely, positively, cannot stand the Florida State assNoles!! Back in my school days, before Bobby Bowden, I would root for the Seminoles to win their games, although they didn't win many, simply because they were a team from my home state, Florida. Then, in 1976, along came Bowden, and he started to build a good program at FSU, and they started to win a few games. Then, when they started to win against the Gators, their fans started to get big heads and they would run their mouths for days. They became everything I wrote above about Ohio State. Then, when they won a National Championship, in 93 I think, the shit really hit the fan. assNole fans came out of the closet in droves. They were everywhere, and they all had the biggest damned mouths you could imagine. I'm not sure if it was coincidence, or what, but at the same time, the homosexuals were coming out of the closet in droves, also. I'm almost positive there is a connection between the two.
Anyhow, post them up, guys. What teams do YOU hate???
#5 just about 6 years ago I would have had Miami here but the Gators have come on strong in that time. I was basically indifferent about the Gators when I moved here but 16 years and especially the last 6 or so years dealing with Gator fan has really soured me on the program. Most of all it aggravates me that when I moved here there seemed to be FAR MORE Noles fans in this area than Gators fans now there are far more Gators fans than Noles which tells me there are a lot of "fans" here will just root for which ever program is on top.
#4 I have to go with Florida State. I never liked the Noles. Never liked Bowden. They had some really great teams but I never felt they were as good as advertised, mostly because I just didn't like their schedules after joining the ACC.
#3 I have to give to Southern California. Too much hype. Too many NFL busts. Too many Rose Bowl losses to them.
#2 goes to our biggest rival, the stankin ass fuckin schweddy Nuts. Not sure how much you have to say about hating your program's biggest rival. I hate the fans, I hate the nickname, I hate the uniforms, the stupid ass helmet stickers, the lame mascot (I hate mascots period but this this fucking nut with the shit eating grin takes the cake), pretty much everything about this program irks me.
#1 goes to Notre Dame. I grew up in Cassopolis, Michigan 45 minutes north of South Bend. You were a Michigan fan or Notre Dame fan, no in between. The whole season was ruined early if we lost to Notre Dame. There was nothing as intense as that rivalry to us. It was bragging rights with your neighbors for a year or more if we didn't play again next year. I also hate the arrogance of a lot or ND fans. And no fan base has the blind homerism infliction as bad as ND does. I hate that these cowards won't get in a conference and even worse now these cowards have cancelled our series. I hate this program like I hate nothing else in sports.
