There's a pretty crafty centre by the name of Cole Reschny that might be available after that area of the 1st round. He needs to put on some muscle, but he's a very smooth skater and playmaker. He'll likely return to junior hockey with the Victoria Royals (if he doesn't go the NCAA route), but he could be a pretty solid NHL player.

It is pretty funny that you can attempt to tank all you want and still end up not getting the 1st overall pick. At least if you are a bottom three team, you can't fall very far so that part is locked in.

Even if you could completely prove it, even then, this type of fraud isn't illegal so there is no reason for the league to not pick the winners and losers. There is no penalty, no consequence for being a fraudulant enterprise.

Serious question if Mitchov was overlooked, yeah we can agree on that, but who does he replace in the top 3?

1. Celebrini had the same amount of points (one less goal) in 13 less games played.
2. Hutson had more points, didn't miss a game and played top pairing minutes on defense.
3. Wolf played 53 games at goalie and put up very good numbers at goalie. Top 10 in save pct, #11 in wins even though was a starter for a non-playoff team, #16 in save PCT. Could be argued if it wasn't for Wolf the Flames would not have had the late season chance for the playoffs.
