Yes I get it. Not the point of the thread. Who do you think the NBA would hand Wem to if they flat out did that?

I think Portland or Detroit among current lottery teams. Toronto if they were one.

Portland would be ideal

Charlotte is the other, reward a serious new owner

Here’s my pecking order for who the NBA would rig it for:
1. A top 5-10 market that has been down and needs a star injection to get fans to come back and restore relevance to that market. - I don’t think any apply here among those who will be in the lottery.
2. A smaller market team that could be deemed pretty close but getting this piece would put them on a fast track to being a franchise that keep the homegrown on board and be a competitor to push the big markets. -I think this applies to OKC

When detroit is good they pack the seats. They were top 5 in attendance for years

I don’t think Jordan should sell until he doesn’t get Weybanyama. Or at least wait until he gets the first pick and then sell for higher, if he has multiple bidders. Right now, they have a losing team and no first overall pick.

I suppose that before the lottery, you could sell the chance of getting the first pick and that after not getting it could deflate the price. So it could go either way.

Now, if they do get the first overall pick, he may want to keep it. He doesn’t need the money, but maybe if his team starts winning, he gets something from that pridewise.

Interesting nobody mentioned Orlando or maybe I missed it.

They have been there before, Shaq and Penny. Dwight and that crew. You add Wenbamyama to Pablo, Franz and that young team and it’s scary. Pablo will be a star eventually, that duo would be insane.

But why would Adam and the NBAnts go that route? The story isn't as good as other places, might as well go Orlando.
Orlando had it last year you doof. So your logic doesn't really apply. And Tyrese Haliburton is a bigger star than anyone on Orlando at the moment.

And really, it makes more sense for the NBA to reward a rising star in Haliburton than it does for a retread like Lillard.

This might be what @DJ meant when he said the Lakers. :D

No one in the league got more revenue sharing money to make up for gate and tv revenue than the Pacers. Not sure why the league would bend over backwards to create a conspiracy to reward that.

But Orlando and Portland are media hotbeds.

And currently when you go to LCA, you can meet every players parents if you want.

Cuz that’s who is there.

I do miss Meijer buying all available seats nightly to keep that sell out streak alive so long.

Hell no! These kids might not have even made the tourney.

We went the night Cade debuted last season. Last game I went to.

And we met Mr. Wagner, since they were playing the Magic and the crowd was very intimate. Lol
