Game is in good hands.
I like seeing who of the new generation is going to fizzle out first.

right now, looking like Dak.

meanwhile, Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, Hurts are the future of the game

and Burrows and Lawrence. Purdy is showing a lot of poise, it'll be interesting if he's the number one QB after the season.

the Niners situation is crazy, but I think Purdy comes back down to earth. He looked pedestrian last night. They have the right weapons for a QB to succeed, but I think they can do better than Purdy.

meanwhile, I don't think Jimmy G or Trey Lance are bad QBs.

Niners should go into 2023 with at least 2 of the 3 competing for the starting job.

Purdy got away with some stinky throws for sure. Specifically the INT Diggs should have had and also that big pass to Kittle was way off target but Kittle made a ridiculous play. Thankfully for him his opponent was worse

this is true.

and when you have athletes like the Niners have and a guy like Kittle who is a freak, you can get away with stuff like that.

Correct me if I am wrong, but that ball that went through Diggs' hands was tipped at the line 1st....so, maybe a bad throw, but it wasn't headed to Diggs initially - I believe it was tipped...

The offense is pretty much the same as it has been for years. I dont see that Purdy has added much more then Jimmy at this point other then maybe mobility? Its still scheme your studs in space (CMC, Kittle, Deebo) and let the YAC take over. Nothing wrong with that though when you have a roster as strong as the niners.

Good throw - it was tipped....WR was open....he was catching that ball if it isn't tipped....

IIRC the throw was poor either way which led to the tip. Regardless a player like Diggs will tell you he needs to catch that

Oh, no doubt. Diggs should have caught that - the end result (regardless of the throw) should have been an INT...

I don't think they ever had a RB like CMC though...he adds a lot to that offense

Hell, I just wish Diggs woulda been a football player on the Kittle big pass play.

Kinda says a lot about a player's overall make-up. Is it the money(stats) or the game that drives the player? Memorable play for me. A 300 lb d-tackle running his ass from behind to make a play, and contract time played it safe in the biggest pro game he's ever played in. BUT...what matters the most. Clearly, it's the money when what's important is taking advantage of the situation and maximizing your cash haul. Thankfully, Diggs is fine and ready to cash in on his contract.

You realize that if Diggs blows up Kittle there - it's likely a flag....I'm not saying it SHOULD be, or that I'd agree....just saying - if Diggs blows him up there - with how the game is called now - that's a flag.....

nobody said anything about blowing him up, I'm talking about football instincts and making that play in a playoff game.

Fair - just misinterpreted what was being said...

A good clean hit - I got ya...but even then....with how these refs have flagged guys....for hits that aren't really against the rules...

Diggs just had a bad game in some areas...missed that tackle - missed the INT....tough game to have a few of those plays slip through the fingers.

I think Purdy does allow them to throw outside the numbers more than JimmyG did as well but obviously, you are right in that the offense is the most QB friendly offense a kid could fall into and with that dominant a defense, Purdy just has to stay calm and within himself. I like the kid but time will tell. Not going to anoint him as the new Montana or anything yet. But he seems to have the right goods between the ears so far. Yesterday was his biggest test so far but next week is ramped up big time for him. We will have to see how he does.

I dont think he should have been going for a hit at all. The ball was right there in the open to knock down. Use your hands, not your shoulder. If that happens no way it is a completion.
