We got no benefit from itof course, it meant something to the team. what team goes into the offseason and says we wont make the playoffs
Houston.of course, it meant something to the team. what team goes into the offseason and says we wont make the playoffs
So the Eagles similarly are 4-1, the Cowboys 4-2, the Giants 0-4-1, the Vikings 2-2, Bucs 3-0, Falcons 2-2, Lions 2-4, 49ers 1-1 and Seahawks 2-3.Ok 1-1 vs eagles
1-0 vs falcons ( weak )
0-1 vs lions ( weak )
0-1 Vikings
0-0-1 giants
i won’t go with titans because they are AFC
so I would say 2-3-1 vs contenders with the 49ers. Giants , and boys left ( boys could be meaningless )
Ok and ? I say you need to beat the contenders to make noise . As it stands the falcons giants lions are in troubleSo the Eagles similarly are 4-1, the Cowboys 4-2, the Giants 0-4-1, the Vikings 2-2, Bucs 3-0, Falcons 2-2, Lions 2-4, 49ers 1-1 and Seahawks 2-3.
Only the Eagles, Vikings and Bucs have winning records against NFC contenders.
If the Commanders beat the Giants they could easily end up as the #6 seed. For the wild card the sixth seed will probably travel to either a QB-less 49ers team or a Seahawks team that's no better against NFC contenders than the Commanders are.
Not the Vikings, 49ers and Seahawks?Ok and ? I say you need to beat the contenders to make noise . As it stands the falcons giants lions are in trouble
Didn’t say anything about a draft . What I am saying is if you can’t beat the better teams then it doesn’t matterNot the Vikings, 49ers and Seahawks?
Not sure about your premise. Last year the Rams were only 5-4 against NFC contenders in the regular season. In 2020 the Bucs were only 2-3.
As things stand right now, the Commanders stand a decent chance of making the playoffs and playing a beatable team in the first round.
Positive momentum and a winning culture count for a lot. More than moving up from the late teens to the mid teens in the draft, IMO.

Doesn't seem very predictive.
But the Bucs went 4-0 in December/January of the regular season in 2020 and the Rams went 5-1 in 2021.
I think it does matter how you get in - you want to get in cooking. If the Commanders finish 3-1 there’s every reason for optimism. But if they finish 1-3 and somehow still get the 7 seed I wouldn’t feel good about them.this just proves anything can happen in the playoffs and it doesn't matter how you get into the playoffs. Thanks for the post.

Yet you miss his point.sure, you want to be playing your best football in Jan but I believe the playoffs are a new season an anything can happen. Just b/c we dent beat good teams in the regular season doesn't mean we can't beat them in the playoffs. you posted the stats from the last 2 Super Bowl champs. That proves my point.
Yet you miss his point.
dont miss any point. He proved with his stats that i was right
No. He showed that it is possible. His point was that a team that was so-so needs to get hot at the right moment going into the playoffs.
Which is completely possible for the Commandskins, by the way. They're 5-1-1 with TH at QB, including 1-1 against definite playoff teams and 2-0-1 against borderline teams.No. He showed that it is possible. No, but you do have to be kicking ass to finish the regular season.post #249 proves that you dont have to beat playoff teams in the regular season to win in the playoffs.

But the margins have been tight and they've been lucky. The two weeks after the bye (Giants at home and 49ers on the road) should tell us what kind of team they really are.
