I don't get all of these objections to the move. We're talking a potentially record-shattering snowfall. They'll have much more important considerations than clearing that area so an NFL game can be played there Sunday.

not true not many places get 6 feet of snow

What is the most snow ever recorded in Buffalo New York?

Buffalo's heaviest three-day snowstorm on record dumped a whopping 56.1 inches of snow in 2001. While that all-time record is expected to remain safe, this event will likely become one of the city's top-10-heaviest snowstorms

'Snowvember' storms that left 7 feet of snow.

Buffalo gets big storms often. Maybe not 7 foot storms every year, but they get multi feet multi day storms every year. Lake effect snow is not a new phenomena. It has been happening forever.
No, not many places get 6 feet of snow. Buffalo does. Much more and much more often than what New England gets.
I worked PA and traveled through western NY every weekend going back to New England for a few years. I work with a couple people from Buffalo and Watertown. They are just shrugging their shoulders and saying yeah, happens.
Big snow dump totals in that area are no rarity.

The outright snowiest place in America is Crater Lake National Park in Oregon's Cascade Mountains, where an average winter brings 463.1 inches of snow.

the move benefits the Bills. Doesnt hinder them.
The Browns were probably hoping for the snow day game.
Also probably needed to make the announcement sooner so Bills could have left already. Hearing it's already really bad there so wont be easy taking off in the plane.....worse might be how the players, coaches, etc. will get to the airport.

Yep. I objected but several have raised good points on why it is good a precautionary measure to move the game.
We just love snow games.

I may go. That will depend on the weather. We're only expected to get a dusting here but it's snowing like crazy atm.

Sure but nobody lives on Crater Lake so it doesn't really matter how much it snows there, unlike the cities in that snow band in upstate NY. I believe that Syracuse is still #1 in the country for average snowfall for cities > 50k population

Bills team has not left NY yet and Don't plan on leaving until Saturday afternoon.
There is 4' of snow on the ground already.
I hope the NFL is thinking about what they will do if the team can't fly out tomorrow?

"most flights in and out of Buffalo have been canceled. The airport recommends that people with scheduled flights should keep a close eye on the status of their flight "

Can Josh Allen shovel snow with his injured elbow?
