Which I always thought you need two good catchers playing one more than the other but not like this. Ideally the second one is really good defensively. It used to be one catcher might be an aces personal catcher

Could not agree more. I wish Huff would come up and take up that second catcher. I feel like we need to find out if he is in the future.

I’m thinking the Rangers will have about $40-$50 million AAV to play with this off-season?

We need relief pitching and a starting pitcher at this point. I would spend whatever it took for those three guys-- a starter and 2 relievers. But I don't think they should do like they did last offseason and spend because the money was burning a hole in their pocket. If the right guys will sign, then sign them. If not, keep your powder dry. I wouldn't even mind two short term starters, if it worked out.

I think about 100 starts a year 62 for the second catcher. Lessen the back to back starts some

Good point but the way the others are not proving reliable helps Perez bargaining position

I can see one of these in the playoffs but I am against generally. More pen usage unless you have extreme depth
