But where do you put him?

I think we have enough depth that we can move him to FS and hide his footwork issues

We have ZERO depth at CB so you KEEP him at CB our Starters are Jones, a 3rd string back up last year and got playing time because of injury and a possibly Brown who i am sorry didn't look like starting quality last year when on the field he just wasn't as bad as the other guy on the roster. Still look at Browns numbers they were not good but just "OK" for a rookie. this team needs CB they got Amadi, Blair and Neal as Back up Safeties and all three have proven they can play and play well.

No you keep Woolen at CB, Hell Neal out played ADAMS!

Also I have no doubts that Woolen is or will become a better CB than Coby Bryant. Remember he is a VERY raw CB and his growth over the season was said to be VERY noticeable by the talking heads. Let him continue to grow. His projections had the highest rating in PRO BOWL level ( 38.6% ) with Starter quality right behind ( 38.0% ). Back up, Special teamer and bust were all in single digits with bust at something like 00.4%. Bryant's highest areas was Back-up and special teamer.

Woolen IMO was one of the biggest steals in the draft. He should've gone late 2nd or early 3rd. I understand he's EXTREMELY raw so teams are going to be limited on him (teams competing for playoff spots cannot really afford the development earlier, but Seattle is IMO not at that stage), but the measurables along with Carroll's secondary coaching experience allowed me to give this an EASY A+ grade.

That why, as a Jags fan, i was pissed about Walker.

He is raw but so was Richard Sherman, if you got the ability then you GOT THE ABILITY. He is quick AF for someone thats 6 foot 4 and he is fast. He is a little stiff yes but Sherman was ALWAYS stiff in the hips. Woolen just looks the part and there is a reason his ratings had the highest percentage projection rating in "Probowl" player.

Walker on 1st and 2nd down Penny on 3rd. That's how they wanted it with Chris Carson and Penny, but Penny couldn't stay on the field and neither could Carson. I still say he is more of a jitter bug than a power back at least at the Pro level. Doesn't mean he wont pop someone he just wont truck many. All though He is strong enough and has a low center of gravity meaning most arm tackles wont bring him down. Thats a nice plus.

Lets hope the Seahawks RB curse stays away from him. Think about that for a minute, If you remove Marshawn Lynch from the Hawks look at the luck they have had with RB and health issues. The Curse didn't want anything to do with Marshawn because that's a scary dude! lol

How many RBs stay healthy on any team though? its another reason why they should be drafted in the later rounds every year and churned through without remorse or resignings.

Well, it all depends, some 1st round backs end up being centerpieces for a while … Lynch for example was a first round pick, Emmit Smith.. Here is a list of 1st round pick RB since 2000, Decent lsit …

Drafting RBs like Dallas or Homer doesn’t cut it. Occasionally a team can wait until the later rounds and sometimes they can’t.

Let's look at Seattles top 5 RB's of all time:

Marshawn Lynch - Drafted 1st round; pick #12

Shaun Alexander - Drafted 1st round; pick #19

Curt Warner - Drafted 1st round; pick #3

Chris Warren - Drafted 4th Round pick #89

John L Williams - Drafted 1st Round pick #15

There is a common theme there...

the game has changed a lot since these guys were drafted, especially for the last three. the position just doesnt have as much value as it used to.

Say what you want, but teams do not value the position like they used to. The game has changed.

Then it can change again. In an era of $40-$50M QBs with an active salary cap, there could be an argument for skipping the pro bowl QB for other high value positions. We won our only SB with a QB on his rookie contract. Our team changed for the worse once the QB got his 2nd contract.

that could happen, but right now I wouldnt draft a RB round 1 and probably not round 2 either. they are disposable and other high value positions which are not, cant easily be drafted in later rounds.

I would draft a RB in the 1st round but not in the top 15 and they would have to be a once a generation type back.

I get that but the top talent is still in the 1st few rounds regardless of value... That goes for every position... It's rare to find a gem in 4-7 that will play at a pro bowl level for 3-5 years...

Let's look at 2021 top 5 RB's for SAG's...

Taylor: Round 2; Pick 40
Chubb: Top of Round 2: Pick 35
Mixon: Round 2: Pick 46
Harris: Round 1: Pick 24
Cook: Round 2: Pick 41

Seems like the top 5 RB's are 1st and 2nd rounders in 2021... The talent is still at the top of the draft tree... Not 4-7... That goes for every position... You're confusing value with talent...

Lets also state that Chubb should have been a first round pick for the Hawks but they got cute and picked Penny.
