Bill Belichick has stepped back into the BB Coaching mode and tore the win against the Falcons to pieces last night.
In his well known style, he's built up the team because they were 2-4 and lacked confidence and continuity. They've won five in a row and he's decided it's time to throw a bucket of ice water on these hotties. He didn't do it in a nasty manner, he was controlled and every media question was answered and then stabbed with a poor play.
This team has 10 days to prepare for the Titans and their former Patriot LB Mike Vrabel. You know that Vrabel will work his defense to death in attempting to kill the run and make the short passing game even shorter. The reason is that he knows that the Patriots' defense has held teams to 13 points in their last three games and total yardage is decreasing weekly against the Pats. He has to have his OC come up with a couple of wrinkles or Tannehill could find himself in a serious problem every time he drops back to pass. Last night, the Falcons decided to keep an extra blocker in to keep Matt Ryan upright and seven guys couldn't contain four defenders.
Expect the Patriots to come out playing smash mouth offense and smash mouth defense like they did against the Browns.
The next four games will stamp this team as a Super Bowl Contender or Pretender.
