Also to be fair, the new one was only the first half of the book and a lot of the action is in the second half.

I was a big Dune nerd with the books so I'm glad they made a more accomplished version, the 1984 David Lynch version is insane and weird.

Sting as Feyd Ruatha is very odd.

I just finished reading Dune and started Dune Messiah.

(spoiler alert for 2nd movie- IF its made)

One of my favorite scenes in the book is Alia killing the Baron and then going around finishing off soldiers with her knife at the ripe old age of 4. She is great in that scene in the book.

Count Fenring is an interesting character in the book.
