Boy that is a weird one. I didnt see much Jags football last year but in the game against the Vikes he looked at least serviceable.
Urban. He thinks this is the swamp

Doubt its wirth killin our depth

Yep one year rental possibly and maybe a mid-round pick at best? After their top 3 who could step in to replace JW's production?
Its a leap of faith but they do have some talent down the depth chart. Nobody has ever heard of names like Isaiah McKoy, Tyler Simmons, Rico Bussey or Anthony Johnson... But they are having great camps & I guarantee you they would be serviceable enough to replace JW's production. I mean, we're only talking about 392yds last season. I mean, c'mon now. Washington is in his final year under contract

I know. But my argument is the talent is there. Hes just buried on a team with immense depth. If someone gets hurt he can jump in. Its a strength. Dont kill the depth. For a mid round pick, on a team making one last hurrah.

i have 267272 times more confidence in Washington jumping into a #2 or #3 role than those listed.

I do acknowledge those guys looking really good. No injuries? Then yeah get the draft pick…but youre playing with fire.

im also a fan of mckoy and bussey fwiw…mckoy especially

I get it. If KC trades him away and they do get a bad injury this year then he looks like an idiot... But if they don't have any injuries and KC gets a mid-round pick for a guy that would be otherwise leaving after this year (and during a rebuild no-less) then he looks like a genius.

You do have to admit though that Ben has made a LOT of average WRs look good.... Eli Rogers, Sammie Coates, Demarcus Ayers, Markus Wheaton, etc. None of those guys did anything outside of PGH.

Fortune favors the bold.

I agree. If this was any other year, then id say see yah. But when they kee making this one last rodeo, getting rod of a strength for a future middling pick seems silly. Again, just me.

Agreed. But what happened to all that Haskins-train talk? If he's the future then that mid-Rd pick could pay dividends while the team continues to revamp certain position groups.

Haskins may be the future, and im on board. But the time to win is now, and everything theyve done suggests thats what theyre trying.cant see trading a strength as a great idea

Well it has been over 2 years since Colbert felt feisty enough to trade players (Dobbs & Hawkins back in '19), but they were in the exact same boat back then as they are now with the "win now" mode. Point is, Colbert hasn't been shy about trading away pieces if the depth is strong enough & the players behind that player can easily replace his production.

Not to mention they've already traded away their 2022 4th, 5th & 6th IIRC

Trade: Rams sent P Corey Bojorquez and a 2023 7th-round pick to the Packers in exchange for a 6th-round pick in 2023, per source.

I don't get it personally. Bojorquez will most likely outperform Hekker once again. Surprised Hekker didn't get moved to Dallas.
