Good point. If Embiid played more games the Sixers could have won home court in the East.
Yep, because losing his extreme value didn't make them lose excessively. Sixers getting home court better supports the case for Doc or Simmons more than it does Embiid.

You brought it up. Which 10 guys did you mean?
I won’t factor in age.
LeBron
Dame
Embiid
Luka
KD
Harden
AD
Giannis
Kawhi
Steph

That list is in no particular order. They’re just 10 NBA players better than Jokic.

It supports the fact that the best 2 way player in the league this year led his team to the number 1 seed in his conference.

I understand what you’re saying perfectly. And I disagree. Because Embiid is the all around better basketball player he is the real MVP. He was the best two way player in the NBA this year and that can’t even be argued.

Embiid missed too many games. Because of that fact he's not the MVP this year.

Decent arguments for most, but one could quibble with Harden and Lillard. Any of those more deserving than Jokic this year, considering injuries and team records? No need to mention Embiid in your answer.

On that list the only one I think with real beef is Luka actually. The rest either missed too much time or hadn't led their teams to good enough seasons

Yep. We already established this. The media gifted an award to a player because all other players in the running missed games and Jokic was the perfect attendance guy.

We already established the perfect attendance award was the standard the media used this year to pick MVP. I’d take Harden and Lillard over Jokic all day.

It's not this year only though, you really need to stop crying.

So you think the fact the Jokic led the league in double doubles (60) & was second in trip-dubs (16) had nothing to do with him winning MVP? Damn. Had no idea you were super-homer like that.

He had a great season. He wasn’t better than Joel Embiid. Sorry. Dude is a fat slow walrus on defense. Watch him try and hedge and recover on pick and roll. It’s fucking hilarious watching fatty move.

If you weren't such a homer you'd be able to see that Jokic actually had the better all around season. But you're 100% blinded by homerism.

I'm going by what the numbers say. You on the other hand are going with your heart. For this topic you're not being impartial.

Of course you are! Guys who dont know sports and can’t trust their eyes always lean heavily on stats. Guys who played on the JV soccer team as a senior love stats.

And there it is. All you got left are immature petty insults. Grow up kid. Because right now you sound just like wiggy. You gots this issues because I don't agree with the homeristic nonsense you're spewing.

Only someone with serious issues would say stats aren't a legit way to compare players.

And to prove how stubborn you are I'll ask this question again. Of course you won't answer it though. Which says a lot about you. Let's say another player had Embiid's stats this season. Would you still be saying they deserve the MVP after missing 29% of the season? Homer on!

If another player was the best two way player in the league this year I’d absolutely say he was deserving. You rattled off categories earlier where Jokic led. He lead by fractions of points with the exception of assists because they have different games. Embiid led in PPG. I didn’t bring that up because why? Both players PPG were impressive. And yes, people who lean on stats can’t trust their eyes because they’re just casual fans.

I love Joe and I think he was the best player in basketball this year. But he missed a 1/3rd of the season. Whether Jokic is one of the 5 or 10 or 15 best players in the league can be discussed. But he was clearly the MVP based on his actual performance. He was the best player on a team that lost its 2nd best player and still wound up with the 5th best record in basketball.

Exactly. As I posted earlier, it was a war of attrition this year and Joker was the last man standing.

Without injuries or "load management" Joker would likely be lucky to finish 4th in the voting. Even with the outstanding numbers he put up.

I don't think you'll find many people that believe that if Embiid and Lebron don't get hurt and Kawhi didn't load manage, that Jokic still wins. Hell, with season Harden had, if hadn't pulled that shit that he did in Houston...he's probably wins MVP.

And now that we’re on page 4…here’s my point:
The NBA and the NBA media hate The Process. Tanking doesn’t sit well with them and they continue to hold a considerable grudge when it comes to all things Sixers. So what Doc and Jo and Ben and the rest need to do is adopt an Us vs The World mentality and recognize that if they want to be recognized they need to leave no fucking doubt and take that shit and make a bunch of people eat a dish of crow.
