Ben needs weapons now......
I wouldn't mind seeing NE go for Shi Smith, WR, SC here in the 3rd. They have two dynamic TEs and a good stable of RBs. Meyers is plenty good on the outside just needs more time and touches. So a shifty slot guy like Smith who can also return kicks would be a bonus.

Or wait like BB always does and find a shifty white guy late or as an UDFA.

Nice. Don't see too many Japanese born players in the NFL.

Heard that reported earlier in the day, but then heard others reporting that there have been no talks between Denver and Green Bay. We'll see what happens. Doubt anything does.
A deal like that would crush your dreams of Denver drafting Mac Jones.

LOVVVE the draft for Cleveland so far.

26- Newsome. They got a lanky, guy that has 4.4 speed and great cover skills, especially zone. I didn’t think he would make it to 26.

52- (trade up) JOK- I mean are you kidding me. All reward here. He was projected mid-1st. I get he is probably not a fit in most defensive schemes but put on a little weight in Woods’ scheme he can be a playmaker in time. Even if he fails it was worth the shot with that value.

91- Schwartz- I don’t love the player but I love the idea. After the KC game they desperately needed guys that stretch the field and keep the defense honest. I feel this was their “Mecole Hardman pick” here and he might be the fastest player in the NFL now.

Two early 4th’s today, I hope they got IDL and EDGE or S. Still some nice names at IDL: Nixon, Tufele, Brown, Togai

Only real question about Newsome is if he'll hold up medically in the NFL. A lot of guys like that, though, so I'm not really sure how much of a factor that is. College career is a bit like Jimmy Smith where he basically shut everyone down and the only question is if it translates. Newsome is less imposing but more fluid than Smith. PFF was saying that Newsome had the best footwork of any CB in the draft. I hear that and I'm thinking he might actually be the safest CB in the draft as long as he can just stay on the field.

JOK is the home run swing. I thought he compared a bit to Lavonte David and he dropped in the draft, too. Maybe his instincts keep him off the field in year 1 but I suspect he'll be one of the best picks in rd2.

Schwartz seems like a luxury pick you get from having a good roster. Pretty much agree with your analysis on him. He is there to keep teams honest but honestly I think the Browns are usually better off just rocking the play action with more physical receivers for that. We'll see. Another home run swing here.
