I actually don't get it. I think the Niners system is the ideal landing spot for Justin Fields

The only pro day I watched of the QBs was Fields' and I came away impressed. I wasn't sold on him necessarily before that.

Maybe it is a smokescreen. Mac Jones strikes me as an ok QB but not special. Almost like a Kirk Cousins type of impact. Usually you shoot a little higher at #3 especially with plenty of qb options there. Also doesn’t make much sense for their love to be a smokescreen given we know the first twi picks of this draft already.
Obviously, I could be wrong and Jones could end up way better then these other two.

what I have learned about QBs coming out of college is that we know NOTHING... the QB has to go to the right team at the right time with the right coaching with the right etc...

IMO the three most important things for any QB, is Confidence(which is why you should never play around with them on draft day), whether the team allows the QB to throw, or if they baby them, offensive line protects the QB well enough...

Skill is one of the last factors I care about...

I also WANT my rookie QB to throw at least 15 interceptions... the more the better IMO...

So I was commuting to work deciding between four players: BPA, Common Sense, Who I think the Chiefs Would pick, Goldilocks pick. I went with what I thought was the common sense guy with Cosmi. Its not who I think the Chiefs would pick at this point, though.

which is the problem they haven't fixed anything, they just changed QBs... so will they have the same problems...

Ill tell you know, my plan for this draft is to ONLY draft offense... even if they become only depth...

and I hope the jets follow my lead... the jets goal next year is not to be good, it is to groom your QB of the future... and only that....

They did fix one thing...they dumped Adam Gase. Tannehill improved after escaping Gase, so that has to be good for Darnold and whomever the Jets draft at QB.

don't knock the QB whisperer... he whispers sweet everythings in QBs ears...

There wasn't a glaring pick for me either so I went for value at a need position, projecting Azeez to eventually take over for Hughes. Might be more my thought of the Bills' needs than the consensus though.

I think in your position I would've made the same pick, tbh. I think he'll be a good pro in the right system.

Now that he is off the board, Toney is who I think the Chiefs would've drafted. He fits the Chiefs like a glove.

Round 1 thoughts for my picks.

I am not real thrilled with Paye, this draft fell pretty bad for the Giants. Smith/Waddle slipping left me looking at a few reaches. Smith was the highest value, but it felt like a luxury pick and they have too many holes. So I felt like I was reaching for 1 of 2 players vera-Tucker or Paye. I went players for higher upside......plus giants love taking Dline.

Bucs was straight forward. Eichenberg is great value there, and Chiefs just showed us what can happen when you don't have oline depth.

I mean, they did have oline depth but they all got injured. I get what you're saying, though, and agree with the logic. The Bucs are probably looking for people who can start day 1 in general and Eichenberg is that guy.

I did not mean it as a dig at the Chiefs, just that you could always use more. multiple late-season injuries and Niang opting out was a perfect storm of bad luck. You have to figure if even 1 of those out could have played that it would have made a massive difference. One tackle to hold a block long enough so Mahomes only had to worry about that side collapsing.

We have gotten 4 picks in today. We have to do better. In the past we typically get a round in a day. Let’s not hold things up. Be prepared before and send a proxy if needed.I don’t care about flying through it but to make people stay interested and engaged we need a nice pace.

I'll gladly accept my flogging. I'm always impatient during these things, and hate being the hold up even more.

You really joined this last night and I think you were a little confused so I think I will give you a free pass for Round 1. ;)

@femurov and the Baltimore Ravens trade their 2nd and third round picks to me, Milkspiller, milkspiller22 and the Jets for the OTC pick

Pretty sure Femurov made this deal to speed things up for Milk's selfishness in taking forever to make his picks...

So everyone Thank Femur...
