Questionable at best - at least for the moment that is. As badly as we'll need him to take over LF, I trust the Sox don't want to rush him back. I wonder if there are any FA OF remaining out there. Glad we signed Hamilton, who now looks like a lock to remain as the 4th OF. As devastating a loss of Eloy's bat will be, we'll actually be stronger defensively. Gotta take some sort of a half full attitude.

I think we will see Vaughn playing some LF - pretty sure this invites Zach Collins onto the MLB roster - where he can DH, catch and play some 1st base. Also - Nick Williams has performed well for the Sox this spring. Opening Day - though I expect Leuery to start in LF.

The Sox are still the team to beat in the Division. Compared to our imaginations for this year - the Sox are weakened, but compared to the team last year - it's almost a wash.

I think a semi-correction is in store here. I mentioned Hamilton as the 4th OF, and yes I'm still glad we signed him. But until Engel is deemed fit to start, I'd actually go with Leury in LF. He's pretty decent defensively and brings a much better bat than Hamilton.

I'm more bullish on Vaughn in LF than this writer -because Robert covers LCF and CF and I don't think playing LF will cut into Vaughn's vaunted batting concentration.

The article does - give a soup to nuts description of the options (except no mention of Nick Williams who has played a ton this spring with good numbers for the Sox).
