LOL. Interesting how some of our homegrown athletes, (Sherman, Griffey, Payton, Lynch), can't wait to get out of town but then suddenly are all about Seattle when they are past their prime and looking for a job.

I say this with all respect and appreciation, Richard: Fuck off.

The jets have cooled and he was never really a zoom to begin with. More trouble than what he is worth at this stage of things.

Huh? He was cut by the team and said he wanted to retire a Seahawk.

Sherman would be worse than Joey Porter on the sidelines just because of his personality. lol

If he came back to play here cheap i say go for it, retire a hawk. He didn't burn his bridges like Earl did. Sherman was let go.

Seattle is known for the nostalgia reunions no doubt, and this one I would be all for happening.

He still plays at a decent level plus what he can continue to add to the development of Witherspoon makes him valuable IMO.

He was more of a loud mouth before he left than anything, but then he quickly became a mentor in SF to the younger guys. Thats where he can really help in Seattle cause his days of lockdown corner are pretty much done. It'll come down to money with this one and how much he still values his play on whether he comes back. If he still thinks of himself as a lockdown corner he won't be back.

How about we also sign Earl Thomas while we are talking about this. I honestly believe he is just lobbying for a job because the market has been dry for him and all those years of being openly vocal about everything is catching up to him. There was a market still for Patrick Peterson whom got 10 million and I think it is because he has a great reputation around the league and the Cardinals have nothing but good things to say about him.

He is a douche bag in the press and social media, but what is wrong if he comes in and plays the Lawyer Milloy role? The only football reason to say know would be Russell doesn’t want him.

Well... Sherman then openly blasted Seattle to the media and was all pissy about Seattle letting him go... when I looked at it like, "UH, we don't have the money you want, you're not going to sign what we can offer... so we're just going to release you so you can go find another team that can pay you." Low and behold San Fran did have the money and DID pay him WAY more than we could.

That said, he's 33 and was playing at a pretty high level in 2019 (course he had a ridiculous DL pass rush). I dunno. Whatever lol.

Seattle let him go that's the thing. If they valued him as much and the 49ers did he would have resigned, you see what I am saying? Seattle did not value him highly and that stung Sherman so he spoke up... since when does Sherman ever shut up? it was expected but he didn't lobby to other teams during a season and flip off the head coach.

I don’t get sentimental about ex Seahawk players, so as far as signing him would depend on the cost. If team friendly and minimum cost then OK, otherwise I say pass. He wasn’t a good influence his last couple of years as a Seahawk, criticizing coaches, Russell Wilson and much more. That would also have to change.

yep, I dont think he has much left but he could help, it has to be for the right price and is his ego to big to play for that? hmm yeah most likely. But you never know.

Sherman is a very smart and well spoken person when his brash over reacting mouth doesn't get in his way lmao. Smart player that could make a good DB coach if it wasn't for how "lively" he is lol.

Now that Griff is gone we have a major hole at CB to fill. Sherman (even at his age) would instantly become our best CB from the guys we have left. He may not be the fastest but he's still pretty decent at playing positional football and being smart. Smart beats speed lots of times. I'd rather have a less fast, craft, smart veteran than a speedy rookie who is constantly in the wrong place. As long as the money works I'd be fine with Sherman coming back. As a bonus, I could dust off some Sherman jerseys that haven't been worn in couple years. Also, we named one of our dogs Sherman because we were such big fans of his back in the day :D. The dog could wear his Sherman jersey again too. lol.
