Today's Fun Fact Question: Will the Raiders get better before Jon Gruden finishes counting to $100 million and ten years on his contract? The Raiders are arguably not has good as when Gruden took over.

All my Raider friends are starting to find out why I was never a big fan of Mike Mayock as a draft analyst. ;)
But the question is who holds the real power? I would contend that Gruden, with the MUCH bigger paycheck, has the final say. And now you know why I was never a big fan of Gruden as a HC when his name invariably came around again. ;)

Oh I 100% agree with that.

But I am jut saying. I have seen Mayock's draft board when he was working for the NFL Network and it reminds me a lot of the way the Raiders are drafting. Taking guys like Damon Arnett in Round 1... Taking guys like Clellen Ferrall (Who I actually really liked coming out) with pick #4 (way too early)....

Jonathan Abram has Jon Gruden written all over him. But I think between the two I am just not sure especially for what Gruden is getting paid. I never liked Gruden as an analyst or Mayock. Both are fine as people. Don't get me wrong. Gruden has too much power but the Raiders ownership is also similar to ours as they are a bit as a crossroads. The Davis family gave a good ole friend more power then he should probably have and the Bowel family gave a good ole friend more power then he should have had. Remember.... It was Gruden who hired Mayock in the first place.

Has anyone tried hitting the light bulb in the upper right hand corner at SportsHoopla? It changes your background to black.... Not sure that I like it though. I changed it yesterday for a few hours then changed it back.

What happens when the light bulb goes off in your head?

I have tried it, and also didn’t like it.

That's an insane stat.

Also insane that Shaka Smart made it back to UT still employed.

Red McCombs is writing a check right now to buy out his contract. Hmmm - that Abilene Christian coach might work...
