Inconsistency and injury bug.

I see the same things as you but you can't go from playing like a gawd one week to play like something that belongs in the toilet the next.

I actually think this is a damn good move by the Colts. They have money to withstand the contract and they didn’t give up shit for picks. Obvious injury concern but worth the risk imo

I think Wentz will turn it around in a huge way with the Colts

Maybe.

But he got to learn consistency. I will give you the argument of it wasn't all him, Philly had a bag of nothing at wr, but Indy's top WR is going to FA i think but not sold.

Sad but true if you put your clunker to work

That shows just how much all those first round picks are meaningless the majority of the time. Especially at the so-called skill positions. And especially at QB. It's a total crap shoot. There's maybe 3 or 4 more out there who are going to join that list soon. Trubisky, Darnold, maybe Tua at some point.

So they turned down two 2nd's, for a 2nd and 3rd, in believe he plays well enough to garner a 1st and 2nd?

Hell if they really think he's going to play up to the 1st, they should have kept him.

Props to Indy. If they fix him, they got a bargain, if not it wasn't to pricey to try.

And you can get a starting QB anywhere in the draft. Look at us in 2012

Indy has a Hell of an OL, a solid RB, a good defense and most important an excellent HC. They won't make him try and win games by throwing 50 times a week to scrub receivers. Comeback player of the year

Indy has the running game and the Oline to make Wentz servicable. If Reich can fix his head, this is a good trade. Philly is a laughing stock of a franchise at this point. They can't draft for shit. Have a shitty roster on the offensive side and now got virtually nothing in return for a guy they paid huge money for. No wonder most of the Eagles trash talking fans have "Flew Eagles Flew Away".

I feel for Hurns. He's going to be achy for years

This might be a rare win/win trade.

Indy only giving up a 3rd is big because...well...thats probably what Wentz is worth. This is a massive dice roll that only a couple of teams in the league can make. And if Indy fixes Wentz then maybe they get a franchise QB.

Eagles win just because they were able to find a partner and move on.

There are 8 starting QBs in the NFL that weren't first round draft picks. Brees (very first pick in the second round), Brady, Prescott, and Wilson weren't first rounders, and are obviously good (great) starters. Cousins is a serviceable starter. The other 3 are bums.

Needed to be done. Glad we drafted Wentz at the time. It was certainly better than the alternative options.

Not sold on Hurts. I'd be okay if we drafted a QB at 6.
