BigBen's had a helluva career and the HOF is waiting. But man did he look bad the end of the season. If I remember he started off okay. But like fell off a cliff or something. Is that accurate?

As far as Tomlin. Maybe it's just that he's run his course in Pittsburgh. Alotta success. Not many down times. But sometimes change is neceassary. This could be an example of that.

As far as the D were they 100% all season or did the injury bug nag them?
Offense... Culmination of a lot of things. They had way too many problems. But yes, Ben was one of them. He still has plenty left in the tank for another year, but not without a new O-line.

Tomlin... Jury is still sorta out. He's a good coach and resurrecting some of the shittiest of shitshow seasons, but his stubbornness & ego always tends to get in the way. The Steelers could do far worse than him. But his brand of football is definitely coming into focus. Good coach capable of assembling & orchestrating championship caliber talent, but typically inept in the X's & O's department. He'll go down as one of the winningest coaches that ever coached, but not many coaches ever accomplished so little with as much talent as he's had. He can throw the red flag on this comment, but stats indicate he'll lose that challenge.

Defense... Injuries & stubborn gameplans. Tomlin calling the plays typically ends badly in the postseason. His refusal to adapt & evolve his schemes always tend to doom them in the end. At one point they were down to 1 healthy ILB on the roster thanks to a trade they made. As PureSteel noted, Bush was a huge loss. This defense seems to revolve around the Ryan Shazier's & Devin Bush's of the world.

Yea I'm not buyin it. Even with the TV deal & Ben's retirement/restructure I think that just allows them to retain Juju & Hilton/Sutton. No chance they get a big fish like Watt without cutting an expensive contract or restructuring 4 out of their top 5 contracts.

Not to mention JJ Watt would be a luxury on the Steelers defense. They already have Tuitt & Heyward dominating their trenches, with Alualu also outperforming his contract & his age. Watt would be a $10-12m rotational guy in Pgh. Not a chance.

I just looked that up. How the hell is Marcus Morris making 15 million a year?
I think it was a situation for the Clippers, give him big money or lose him. He is a pretty solid player and even starter...not a terrible contract but definitely kinda high

So PFF just posted this. No other sources have said anything that I’m aware of so I don’t know what to make of it.

NBC Sports Boston announced last night that JJ Watt is in Cleveland and most likely will sign with the Browns. JJ himself tweeted that he is seriously considering signing.

Last in the league in rushing, in both yards and YPC.

Those odds changed pretty quick, definitely something brewing

People doing the same math that the rest of us are doing and realizing what the Steelers are up against in terms of cap.

You really want to use those guys as examples? More like examples of buyer beware.
