Game balls for the:
Offense: Trubisky and the OLine (honorable mentions to Miller and Robinson, who made some incredible catches)
Defense: Eddie Jackson - yes, it was Fuller who got that key interception, but it was Jackson who caused it.

I was going to come on here at half and say to expect a big second half with Mitch (yeah you probably don’t believe me). He could’ve had 2 TD passes in the first half, but the receiver just didn’t come down with it and each became a field goal. He had a few bad throws, but he’s improving.

Having said all of that, he did it against the lions (and a very beat up lions d). That’s not impressive. He will start next week, but he didn’t earn any extra breathing room in my opinion.

Being wrong when it’s the best thing for your team is the best kind of wrong.
Yeah, I don't mind being wrong and a complaining beotch slightly earlier if it ends up a result like that.

A win and comeback like that is the absolute best we could have hoped for from Trubisky. Phoenix style rising. I still need to see a lot more. But the team got picked up HUGE...by him. That’s a big deal. We’ll see how it goes.

QUICKLY CHANGE THE SUBJECT AS FAST AS I CAN!

Not changing the subject at all. Bears won...I’m happy. Cubs no hitter...I’m ecstatic. Nothing for me to be sorry or feel bad about.

You....however. You continue to be obsessed with me. I feel like I gotta start sending you rent monthly for all that space I occupy in your tiny brain.

You’re pretty bad at your job kiddo.

Retarded like calling a pass down the field a checkdown and saying Trubisky was a Pro Bowler his rookie season?

No. Retards who says games are over before it's actually over, retards who think Trubisky is still on the team because they didn't want to hurt his feelings and retards who thinks Amukamara is a better cover corner than Fuller. Now that's retarded. Ya stupid old hag lmao.

Just let me know where to send that check sport. I definitely owe you something for the amount of space I take up in your brain.

Trevathan looked like he was wearing moon boots. Looked super slow today. Their whiteboy TE fucking killed him today.

I really think the series at the end of the half deflated the Bears(particularly the D). That was a pretty bad series of coaching for Nagy, that resulted in a a 14 pt swing in a matter of minutes. Scores at the end of the half are backbreakers, even more so when they get the ball right back in the 2nd half.

This is the type of shit that had me hating Nagy last year. While everyone was bitching about the offense, we were IN most games, and many that we lost could be traced back to Nagy's decisions, particularly at pivotal moments.

I understand having confidence in your team, but this is not a video game. You cannot run three plays in 14 seconds from inside your own 10, with under a minute to play, and not a single timeout by the D. Nagy ostensibly GAVE points away there. Detroit is gonna get the ball at midfield, minimum there, with 51 seconds and all of their timeouts. That is fucking 12 year old Madden football knowledge. Poor coaching.

I didn't mind the first down play there, safe, high-percentage 4 yard gain that stopped the clock. I would've spread it out on 2nd down and then run a draw-type run. If Cohen or Montgomery picks up the first down, THEN you start thinking about opening it up and actually scoring there...otherwise, from that deep in our territory, you have got to run it at least once. I will take 6-6 at half any day, over a last minute bullshit score that you had every ounce of control over whether there was ever an opportunity for that score too occur.

Those subtle nuances of the games are often the difference-maker, IMO.

You're gonna pound in that halftime deal, eh?

How about a counterpoint: Nagy held faith in his QB that he could take the team down for a 1-minute scoring drive at the end of half to give us some momentum after a rough start...which would be helpful considering the Lions opened the second half with the ball. He opened the drive with a swing that we took out of bounds, but it was one of those plays that could have been big gainer and moved the clock if Tarik does his thing. Then put it in Mitch's hands. If you argue it was a bad idea? Then you argue against sticking with Trubisky the whole f*cking time, honestly...which IIRC you've been somewhat a Mitch backer on here. It IS like you're arguing against Mitch here. Because f*ck all if we had Drew Brees/Aaron Rodgers/Tom Brady/insert any franchise QB here...we'd want the team to go for points at the end of half. Regardless of prior results. You ride your horses.

Confidence is everything. Your coach did that. Full 100% confidence in a QB that most of the NFL world is scoffing at. And was rewarded in the end. But that end of half was 100% backing of Mitch. And could be argued as yet another in a long line of Nagy's backing of him that led to Mitch Montana FINALLY showing up in the 4th. Will it continue? We'll see.
