They were the 5th best NFC team last year and remain the 5th best NFC team in the rankings.

The AFC looks like it could be weak this year outside of its top 2-3 teams...but I could make a case for a few to be ranked over the Eagles.

I think the eagles benefitted tremendously from being in the nfc east. That more than anything helped them achieve that record. Put them in almost any other division and they miss the playoffs. I do not think they are the 8th best team in all of football nor the 5th best team in the nfc.

All I know is that the Packers and Bills both made the playoffs and got their asses completely handed to them by the Eagles so I’m not ranking either of them above the Eagles. The Patriots beat them by 7 but lost Brady. The Seahawks are ranked 2nd. They beat the Eagles twice by 8 in each game (one with McCown at QB for 90% of the game).

Of course, it’s a new year and what happened last year doesn’t matter much. Just saying they were in the mix last year, ranking them 8th is fair.

To answer your question about offense, I think adding speed with Desean and Reagor should open things up for their best skills players - Ertz, Sanders, and Goedert.

Also another note on Henry. Lynch didn't really become beast mode until his 5th season when he was 25 years old. Henry was 25 years old last year in his 3rd season when he finally put it all together for that dominant run.

Top offensive HC
Top 5-10 QB
Top 15 rising star dynamic playmaking RB
2 top 10 TEs (one top 3).
And now a focused investment in speed at WR.

Last year with the onslaught of injuries and poor WR play the Eagles still had the 12th ranked offense (yards) in 2019. 15th for scoring. The offense would conceivably be better next year unless all their new WR group falls flat as bad as they were at WR in 2019. Even then they have improved on defense which should also contribute towards them being better. They made the playoffs last year so at worst they were a top 12 team in the NFL and I have them improved up to 8.
I just want you to remember all of this when next year we are talking about Wentz was far from Phenomenal, you dont have a bunch of excuses why.

Colts are way too low. They are probably the 3rd best team in the AFC right now.

Well sure. Finding a handful of examples in the history of the nfl makes it believable. I’m sold.

Pretty solid for the most part but I'm not buying the Titans hype either. They had a great run last year but we see a team like that all the time fall back to reality. I also have a sneaking suspicion the Colts will be much better than most people think. They have a lot of good pieces and although I understand the knocks on Rivers, he has a far superior Oline in front of him now.

I wonder if the Seahawks are the second best team in their own division, let alone the entire league.

You arent saying you think he maintains that efficiency, but keep quoting numbers at that efficiency level...
When hes not that efficient the titans werent very good

and there is my point aaron jones.......the enigma...
Jones had 9 games under 51 or less rushing yards. 9! Most of his damage came in 5 games. He had 11 carries inside the 5 yard line......His 15 rushing scores speak to good offense , and great oppertunity.........But the same truth holds, dude disappears more than he shows up
To be fair thats how 99% of even good RBs do it.

64 yds
50 yds
70 yds
157 yds

And on and on

to an extent yes....But the claim is best RB in the league.

Zeke's fairly consistent, as was chubb, carson, and mcaffrey. Just looking at the top guys. For mcaffrey and carson, the handful of games they werent, they usually had receiving numbers to boost....

I think Rivers is completely washed at this point. I don't get why they didn't try to go after Brady instead.

Elliott weeks 9-16 last year. Highest paid RB on the league. Paid by more than $3.5M per than Henry.

I think Rivers will have the best year of his career behind this oline. It will be the best one he has ever had. We will be a strong running team as well with a top 10 defense. He won't be asked to do much, I'm thinking somewhere between 28-33 tds and 9-12 interceptions.

Maybe, but I don't see it. I think Jacoby Brissett is starting again by season's end.

Different players, different styles. Derrick Henry does his damage mostly in running the ball and he does a lot of damage there.

Doesn’t matter. Same position. Yards count. Catches count. You know that though. It just doesn’t fit your position/agenda.

he does a lot of damage in half season, back to back years in fact.... wel actually the year before it was only 1/4 of the season.

you’re the king of cherry picking just like djax....
