Bengals? No I think Joe Burrow is going to be good enough to elevate them a bit.

Nah titans. I’m just not buying them. Tanny repeating that crazy efficiency. And henry wasn’t his playoff version the first half of the year, again.

I think cincy surprises tooo

This board has a extremely weird belittling of Henry. As if his historical dominance late in the year and the playoffs (best time to raise your level of play). People act like he was some bum befor ehe turned it on in week 10. He had 644 yards rushing had 9 TDs (8 rushing, 1 receiving) in his first 9 games. That isn't bad. That translates out to 1,145 yards rushing and 16 total TDs for 16 games even if he didn't take his game to another level from week 10 onward and through the playoffs.

Even if they don't see as dominant of a stretch from him again he is still one of the best RBs int he league and he signed a deal for considerably less than the one that Elliot signed before last season.

never said he was a bum......but hes not gonna carry a team with 644 rushing yards in 9 weeks......on 179 carries......good for 3.6 YPC, with no passing game involvement......tell me how that helps? Volume doesnt equate to wins......nor does a ton of goal line carries

Its not like he was super great in 2018 sans like 4 end of the year games either........color me skeptical that more often than not he wasnt going ham'.........

realistically....22 of 32 regular season games over the past 2 years, he really wasnt that good.....

tanny's efficiency can only last and carry so long.......

I'd love Henry on my team. Amazing. Big salary. What if we just get 5 guys to do what he does?
How would they be covered?
Hard to keep a great O-line together AND pay a great running back....

What we saw with Tannehill really adding a passing element to their offense in week 7 onward is that just as Tannehill benefits from Henry, Henry also benefits from Tannehill. They have a really nice solid offensive core to go forward with in both Tannehill and Henry. They also have some pretty talented young WRs and a good oline. Henry is without question the best RB in the AFC and you can have the debate that he is the best RB in the league. Tannehill is probably the 4th best QB in the AFC currently.

and thats my point, his efficiency was ungodly, NO ONE maintains that......revert back slightly and his 25 passes a game arent getting it done....

Same with AJ brown, his efficiency was insane, you cant maintain that.......

Same with derrick henry....in 2018 12 of 16 of his games were pedestrian. In 2019, he was rather pedestrian for 10 weeks......You can uncork it all you want for portions of a season......You cant' maintain like that. Plus conklin is gone

Henry being pedestrian most of 2018, and over half of 2019.......and offering zilch in the passing game.......and losing his best lineman.

In the 12 games that Tannehill started, Henry had 1,570 rushing yards and 15 TDs (14 rushing, 1 receiving). It's clear having a good QB has been beneficial for Henry in the running game and likewise having Henry do what he does in the running game has been beneficial to Tannehill.

So you think tannehill is going to maintain that efficiency. Yes or no.

You think henry is going to be able to maintain over 6YPC. Yes or no.

I think it is possible that what Tannehill showed is closer to what he just is as a QB now than it is to being some fluke allusion. He was the 8th overall pick in the draft who was seen as a talented player but a bit of a project and he spent his 20s in one of the worst run organizations in the league while also having to deal with a major injury. He's 31 years old now in a good spot on a good organization. I think with Tannehill we might just be seeing a guy who is now hitting/fulfilling his potential.

I doubt Henry can maintain what he did last year because that was one of the most dominant runs for any RB. But even if he averages 4.5-5+ YPR he is going to be a force. You act like he was made the highest paid RB in the NFL after he played like the best RB in the NFL. Per year average he is only the 5th highest paid RB and he is behind the top paid guy by more than 3.5M per year. It's a good deal for the Titans without a doubt and it's money well earned for Henry.

You fail to see that henry was not even a top half running back for over half his games the prior two seasons. That’s my issue.... you can be great for 4 games.... that’s joe flacco. He win a super bowl.... but beyond that .....

you also fail to see that u less both him an tanny maintain that level, that team is sunk....
