There was a roster squeeze in spring training 2015 and Ishikawa got the short straw. I knew that his days were numbered on the roster but was surprised how quickly the Giants got rid of a postseason hero. Remember, these were the days of Sabean as GM. He kept postseason heroes long past their expiration date, except for Travis. Ishikawa went back to Fresno and he hit well enough for a call up but never got one.
