FYI OT, etal...@Justin Tyme @Tin Man @WPS Our old Fannation cohort Colonel/06 passed away in April. Got an e-mail from his widow today saying he had ask her to notify those of us for which he had an e-mail address. He was a good old man and proud veteran.
Received Sally’s email and replied. RIP, Colonel.

Dude, come on. The statement was “Alabama doesn’t like to come out west.” If you want to amend it on behalf of the speaker to “Alabama hasn’t played a home-and-home out west recently”, fine. They haven’t played a home-and-home with many teams, period, lately.
LOL. Don't play dumb. Since Sabans been there Alabama has been allergic to playing at an OCC house. There's nothing you can say that changes that. The thread says Alabama finally grows some bawls. WTF do you think they are talking about. I will give you a hint. That very thig.LOL
I would also add Alabama that likes to play Citadel and Chattanooga and Towsend because they've done than many times more than come out west on their own (that means scheduled a game)

OMG, Yes! More of one than I am, and I was born and bred with a stuffed elephant in my crib! lol. She still likes to go to a game from time to time. Our last game was the Citrus Bowl this past year and had a fun time.

The USC-Wisconsin Rose Bowl was a few years before my time, but I remember the 1970 and 1971 Alabama-USC games! My parents went to the 1970 game, and my mom brought me another stuffed elephant from that epic historical night. Then, the next year, in 1971, I listened to the game @ the Coliseum on the radio with my mom and my elephant but fell asleep due to the 9 pm Friday Night kickoff (I was still a wee bairn). Good memories of Alabama and USC from the '70s! As a matter of fact, the first time I saw Alabama lose in person was to that GREAT USC team in 1978 led by Paul McDonald, Charles White and that MASSIVE O-line!

P.S. I grew up as a Dodger fan because I hated the Reds. lol. I ended up living in Cincinnati for 17 years and became a Reds fan, but I still despise the Big Red Machine and still have a soft spot for the Dodgers. lol.

I remember that 1971 game fondly, too. My granddaddy & I were on our way back from a high school football game and tuned in on the radio in his pick-up truck, then finished listening on the radio at home. That was the first game that Alabama started using the Wishbone!

2030 at Georgia Tech
2031 Georgia Tech
2032 Arizona; at Oklahoma

I guess we have to excuse Bama fans . They don't know what a home and home OCC game is. It's like bigfoot to them , many say they have seen it but the majority don't think they really exist. But playing Citadel, Chattanooga and Panera bread at home that they know. lol

Last game vs Chattanooga - Alabama 31 UTC 3
Last game(and only) game vs The Citadel - Alabama 50 The Citadel 17

Last game vs USC - Alabama 52 USC 6, no doubt you would have been 46 points better in the Coliseum...pffff.

Like I said, hasn't been a decent team on the West Coast in years.

Speaking of balls...when exactly was the last time USC went to an SEC stadium to play an SEC team? 2005? When they were still relevant. I guess you've been too busy with Syracuse and Virginia. I see you have Ole Miss in 5 years, they might actually have all their scholarships by then. Thanks for making it appear that Notre Dame doesn't suck, do the golden domers slip you a check or do you guys just take turns pretending the other is good, You guys must have next.

Excuse me but when you are on the top of your game people come to you. Now Alabama will travel to Texas to schedule like they did in 2016. You remember that game don't ya? Bad when the only highlight on Sports Center was the embarrassing entrance.

@Justin Tyme ...for some reason this didn't pick yours up JD.

Sad news indeed. We all certainly enjoyed his posts at FN and STS.
Please pass on to his wife that Jon Deaux sends her all the best and best wishes. He is missed.
Thank you O-6 for everything.

Also if you're going to rant, get your shit straight. Bama has played The Citadel once in 125+ years of football and Townsend never. It would be like me bitching about how many times you've played Occidental....oh, my bad, you've played them 23 times, Pacific, ooops...no 6 times. Loyola Marymount then, Jesus Christo, 9 times? Whittier 13 times? Fucking Cal Tech 14 times? Jesus H. Christ, no wonder you guys talk big about not playing any FCS teams, you reached your limit and tapped out years ago. 189 games against Non-FBS teams and 212 against non-Pac P5's...slow clap.

the kids playing these arent even out of primary school yet.

The kids who were in primary school the last time the Pac won the national title are out of college now.

Whatever. You can continue to talk past me, but I told you my specific issue with a specific comment and provided facts as to why THAT COMMENT was bogus.

Beyond that, I said our OOC schedules have sucked lately, so if you think you somehow “educated” me on it, well

BTW, it’s “Towson”, and Bama never played them.

I'll probably be in my urn. Tap twice for an Alabama win and three times for an Arizona win.

conferences dont win titles only teams

The kids who were in primary school the last time any TEAM from the Pac-12 won a National Title, have graduated from college. The kid who witnesses Oregon's first title is likely space dust at the moment.

She pretty much did that, effective 5:00pm, yesterday. And that's with Montgomery already a hot spot for new Corona Virus cases. Idiot move in my opinion.

Meh I don't live in or anywhere near Montgomery. Besides haven't you heard the latest; staying at home in your house is bad for you.

I don't have to stay at home or in my house. i have a garden to work in, and city & state parks where I can enjoy the outdoors without running into a bunch of people.
