Alabama has been owning the Golden State in CFB since the Radio days! By the time Alabama played their first game on black and white TV (7-6 victory @ Fordham in 1939 as part of the 1939 NYC World's Fair), they had already won 3 Rose Bowls (1926, 1931 and 1935), tied another (1927), beaten St. Mary's @ San Francisco to end the 1932 season and beaten USC @ the Coliseum to open the 1938 season!
Good info. :-)

LOL. When TV was in black and white?

Maybe yours was. If you still had B&W TVs when they won the BCSCG in 2010 and the CFPCG in 2016, you need to upgrade. :D

Good thing for SC Texas doesn’t count for you as “out west”, because you don’t want me bringing up the last Bama/SC game.

Understand! I lived in California twice (1985-6) and (1995-6). Loved it both times, but just not a good financial bargain in life. Love Washington State too. Been to Seattle several times (including the 1992 USC @ Washington game) and Pullman once.

UW and Oregon home games are on my to do list at some point.

i'd rather them schedule a home and home with Western Carolina or Elon

would make for better TV and improve Bama's SOS

Ad I said, 2000. I can’t really elaborate on a 1-word answer. I CAN, however, offer plenty of facts that Alabama has no issues going out west.
Fair enough, then it's been 18/20 years since Bama has been out West. I don't know if they have any issues coming out West or not, but it's a fact that by the time they do come out West for an OOC game, it will be the first time in 30 years.

I've been to a UW game @ Husky Stadium and a pee-wee football game @ Autzen (seriously) just to sit in the stadium last year on a Friday afternoon! Still need to see the Ducks play there though. :)

Oh yeah, the Ducks and the Huskies don't care for one another. Great game every year.

I remember watching an Oregon vs. Wake Forest Seattle Bowl on TV with all of the Husky fans in attendance pulling for the Demon Deacons. lol. It is a highly under-rated rivalry!

They had no issues in 2010 or 2015 when the opponents were #2 and 1, respectively. They did have issues in 2019 in Santa Clara, but certainly weren’t averse to going to the game (as it was the CFPCG).

Bama hasn't been out West in 18/20 years. Bama lost to UCLA out west in 2000. I'm not too sure the last time they were out west for an OOC game, I'm thinking 2002.

Why would we, there hasn't been a decent team on the West Coast in 20 years....and this one won't be in 10 years, we are just playing them as the throwaway game in the same seasons we play Oklahoma. Arizona is the Southern Miss for 2031 & 2032.

 "2010 or 2015" did Bama come out West to play an OOC game in those years?

Again we are talking about a "home and home" OOC game.

Dude come on man. When does Bama schedule games out west for home and homes. I didn;t know it had to be spelled out for you. This thread is about a scheduled OCC series.
Bring the Bama USC game up all you want when it's relevant to the conversation. I was at that game and the Texas one. When USC played Oklahoma in Miami it doesn't count as an away OCC game. See how that works

I guess we have to excuse Bama fans . They don't know what a home and home OCC game is. It's like bigfoot to them , many say they have seen it but the majority don't think they really exist. But playing Citadel, Chattanooga and Panera bread at home that they know. lol

Wow. Kinda goes with my comment when you talk 1935 1926. Thanks
